Cooked it too hot. It would have been too tough. 250 at 4 hours.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. We were cooking for our family and had several shanks. It took just over 4 hours and they were very tender.

Thank you for the question. We paid around $35 for 4 of them at Costco. Less than $10 each, which is reasonable. If you live in the US they should cost less.
