Without the blood and gore and with the comedic way some of the deaths are shown you almost don't even notice how brutal they actually are. Honestly I never realized how brutal alot of them actually were while playing the game It wasn't until watching them in this manner.

All the deaths from Vivi are really rough. Multiple decapitation's. You don't even notice because she will belch afterwords or something silly. The creators did a really good job of covering the brutality.

The entire game is genius. What most people don't realize is that you have absolute freedom of where you want to go in that game. You can just run around within entering any levels.

god i love it when people put time and energy into their game like this- spending as much time making the game as much time of putting death scenes into it just goes to show how much love went into this game!

It’s kinda Like Crash Bandicoot death animations. Games like this are pretty cool.

Some of these are legit Mortal Kombat fatalities minus the blood. I love it.

I love the animation and art style of the game here. It totally has that 90's Warner Bros. Animation vibe to it. Heavily inspired by Dragon's Lair for being an interactive movie. And it's completely shocking how brutal the deaths can be despite being all cartoony.

The lack of blood makes it more brutal. Especially for the garden and fountain ones.

My best friend, my dad passed away recently. I was born in the late 80s so I was the perfect age for growing up in the 90s with him. I miss him.. and I'm here to try and get some memories we used to play this together a lot

I can't believe this game was not well received in its day. My brothers and I played it when it was first released back in the mid 90's and we still quote it to this day. One of the most memorable games I ever played in my life. And yes, largely because the deaths were so gruesome and often hilarious.

While it's interesting to see how any death animations there are, some of the scenarios are ludicrously poorly designed. They either would give you virtually no time to react without knowing it was coming, or give vague ideas as to your available options and directions.

Old carry over from arcade days as well. The more quarters a game could be swallow, the more money it made it's owner. Took a while to shed that philosophy, even once home consoles were the norm.

1:00 for whatever reason, makes me wonder if one way to die, is to run the same way back? As in, you came from the right, and have to choose a direction. And choosing to go to the right again would mean that you'd run into the one that were chasing you throughout the game.

its that room specifically since thats the start room. you can go any direction you want throughout the majority of the game (with the exception of the maze)

@@Darkchao_berserko22 from what I've heard the blood still exists in the game but they recoloured it green to make it seem less grusome and more nonsensical. Sans the acid pool, anytime you see weird green liquid coming out of him when he fails, that's recoloured blood

Loved this game as a kid. But was never able to trigger the elevator that lead to the final level.
