Thanks Holly.... great ideas. I use brain breaks daily and display 3-4 cards on the board each morning. The cards are turned over so it is a surprise when it's time for a break. A student is chosen to turn over a card (their choice) and we all eagerly await our challenge. A favourite is the Book challenge where they choose a book and walk around the classroom with the book balanced on their heads. When the book falls off they must sit out to see who is still remaining. I like to jazz it up a little by asking them to rotate, lunge, etc. Also DJ Raphi has some great dance moves.... Currently teaching Year 2:)

Thank you Holly, that was a great presentation. The attention-grabbing cards or Call Outs are great, they work so well!
