Try Northern Ireland, we only have like 3 half decent skateparks all of which are atleast 8 miles away from me and the streets are trash. Could be worse though, we could live in Africa.

I'm 46 years old this month. Just bought my first new skateboard in 25 years... ALL we had was street when I skated. We'd raid the new house construction at night sometimes to collect scrap wood to build launch ramps to kill our knees but that was about it. Schools were the best because we wouldn't get kicked out on weekends and after school. When somebody's older brothers were feeling cool, we'd load up and go skate street in Santa Cruz and go hit up the skate shops there. It's kinda nice to see some street.

Im a first time rider, i dont even consider myself a skater but i really like how you guys fall down and have the courage to stand up wuthout that feeling of being judged. so many times ive wanted to quit because people laugh t me. thank you so much for teaching me that everyone falls no matter what.

In our small town this was all we had for skateboarding. Then we discovered “The Factory” one part of it burnt down so it was left empty. It was like our home away from home. We made ramps and stuff out of the things left inside. What great times! This video brought back so many memories. I haven’t skateboarded in 15 years 😞😞 I’d love to try it again to see if I still have it.
