Yessah nice to see someone putting the kids to work in the right way where they themselves benefit from their own work and learn from it. I still think those groms should be growing you a culinary herb garden, some thyme and rosemary in the oil as it heats up to infuse the flavors into the cooking oil makes a difference. Also suggest dill, anise, sage, and chocolate mint for some interesting fish dishes.

Get 1 ripe bread fruit and 1 unripe bread fruit, roast them over the fire straight on the coals even till the skin is fully charred all around. Scrape out the flesh of the fruits into a bowl and mix well with your choice of seasonings and chopped up fresh fish, and form them into patties. Fry up in a pan and eat plain or do yourself a solid and bring some bread and ingredients to make it a burger/sandwich. People all around the world talking crazy about fires in Hawaii right now to the point they attacking beach fires, need bruddahs like you to show how we use beach fires in a pono way.
