Yep. That's what sells to the tabloids. Woman vs. Woman. That's why they frame it that way. I think he was smart in not clearing anything up--because all that does is create more headlines. Especially back then, when the 'Angelina is a homewrecker' cry was the loudest....it wouldn't have helped either of them. But I think he was referring to the idea that he would leave his wife because she had a miscarriage (that's a rumor that STILL gets repeated today, despite no proof), and soon after he was cast as the villain when Jennifer insinuated in her VF interview that he wasn't committed to having a baby at all with her--yet he's the one who had three kids by the next year after their divorce.

The reason it was put that way, Woman vs. Woman, is because women are the ones that read tabloids the most. They can latch onto the understanding of Woman vs. Woman better than trying to rationally understand why Brad chose Angelina. The simple truth is that Brad loved Angelina. He was tired of being bored with Jennifer. I think he said something to this extent in an interview or book somewhere. I don't know why this is such a big deal. Love is love, sorry Jennifer fans out there. I like Jennifer as well, but you can't get mad at someone because they followed their heart...

Well Brad was called a cheater and that's not very nice either. No one got out of that story scratch-free. Jennifer said she was just about to start a family before Mr. and Mrs. Smith started then Brad left for Angie. Angie was called a homewrecker left and right but she said she had too much integrity to fuck a married man. Jennifer wasn't too happy about them getting so close with each other so soon though. She actually cried in an interview when there were rumors that Angie might've been pregnant. But Brad made his decision and that was to be with Angelina and their kids. It's set now. They're married. Jen is getting married soon too.

loveharrydaily I don't like to speculate on whether or not Jennifer wanted kids--I think it's unfair, especially since you can change your mind, or go through periods of where you really want them, or you really don't. And some women don't want to be single mothers,etc. But I call complete BS that she was going to start a family in 2005. She had three movies to film, and had three more coming out that year--I remember that, because in her VF interview, she said that, BUT at the end of the interview, it is noted that she has a total of six movies coming out in 2005, and 2006. So I call BS on the fact that she was going to get pregnant. I think she had no intentions of starting a family that year. Which is fine. But that's something you discuss with your husband. And I don't think she and Brad divorced over the baby issue. They were barely together in the last 2.5 years of their marriage, and Brad was in therapy for the first two years of their marriage. I think they grew apart and knew that they didn't want the same things--you can tell because Brad went on to have three kids in a year, and Jennifer didn't. He obviously wanted to start a family NOW (which is understandable because he was over 40), Jennifer didn't. Both did right by their own lives.

the fact he fell in love with Angelina doesn't mean Jen is conceited, shallow, and insecure... I think this sort of thing happens and it is anyone's fault

He never attempted to defend himself or release a joint statement. He just went on with his life & now has 6 children, seems to be doing a great deal of charity work & the movie roles don't stop. A person who has good morals, a faithful person. What you do not want to be done to yourself, do not do to others. If the table turns can Brad Pitt eat what he served Jennifer Aniston🤔? Well, based off his interviews and what not, I think we can infer that he's actually a really cool and intelligent guy.

Brad fell out of love with Jennifer before he met Angelina. His only mistake was not being honest with her about it. It took him meeting Angelina and falling in love with her to do it. That simple. He didn’t cheat on her. He was just too coward to break up with her. Angelina had nothing to do with it but the media and especially the crazy Friends fans want to make a whole soap opera storyline out of this. Move on. Shit happens in life. Brad and Angelina are not even together anymore and that’s because Angie chose her family over an alcoholic abusive man. Jen can have him back since she can’t hold on to a man for more than 5 years.

I believe that it is possible that Brad and Jen where married but separated, (happens all the time in marriages) during that time he met Angie. Some people will say that's cheating or whatever but I think if two married adults decide (mutually) what they have is over, before signing the papers then that's a "break up". So therefore you can proceed to live your life as you want, until the divorce is gone through. I've always thought that's what happened. Everyone wants to assume the worst, no one really knows what went on but them. But I don't believe Angelina to be a "homewrecker" in the least... Then or now. #TeamJolie

Brad pitt is the incarnation of handsomeness itself, even the way he moves is awesome, his voice, everything. Must be great to have such an amazing gift, but at the same time must be very annoying, cause that quality is so obvious all the time, that u know people will always be thinking of it, that admiration underlying almost all contact u have with people must be annoying. I don't think seriously that being very beautiful must be so great, it's got its downside also.

They both seem very down to earth and not all Hollywooded out like so many famous actors are. They're probably the only Hollywood couple where I've said to myself, that make sense. Sucks they broke up. Hollywood drama is always ugly. But normal everyday people go through this stuff all the time. What makes it worse for them is the media, selling the worst makes the most sales.

Jolie. she may be an humanitarian. But, she is as responsible for as so is Brad, for the split. I say it today, as I SAID it then, they both were equally wrong for that break-up! Now their Venom has come back to haunt them!

It’s a shame how only a few have the spotlight placed on them with situations many have and will deal with yet society likes to pretend it’s only the few and become harshly critical with the choices the few make. I remember Brad and Jen having marital problems way before the rumors about Angie. That happens..people grow apart..figure out the other person isn’t who they want to spend the rest of their lives with or have changed themselves. I’m sure he was really interested in going on a humanitarian trip and that’s genuinely why he was invited. He unexpectedly fell in love with someone who shared similar goals and who helped him become a better humanitarian. It’s a shame their love for each other wasn’t enough.

every time I watch an interview with Diane, there is always at least one question that makes the person she’s interviewing uncomfortable. I understand that it’s her job to ask those kind of questions but the WAY she asks is actually the problem. Insinuating that Angelina is a homewrecker is just not nice, also if he was already dating her at the time, what were you expecting? him to say “yes, she is”? 😭 of course not. and that question about who gave him the ring like?!?! 😭 he doesn’t own you anything, it’s just a gift for god’s sake.

Poor Brad. I feel so bad for him. Yet, at the same time, I feel bad for those kids, for Angie AND for Jen. Why is life so cruel? Why does somebody HAVE to get hurt? Cruel world -_-

Well said. The only word you forgot to include to discribe Jen Aniston is pathetic. I can stand watching her interviews. I little way ago while married while married to Jen Aniston in a interview with Barbara Walters Brad spoke about trying to find himself and so forth.

If there was a/were problem(s) in his marriage with Jennifer Aniston, he should have first addressed it/them in counseling. If the problem(s) could not be rectified, he should have divorced her first, before starting a relationship with Angelina Jolie. She knew he was married, and there were boundaries. However, as the public, we only know a few details about what went on behind the scenes, therefore, we should not judge. It can be difficult, because we (the public) want to see individuals in the perfect light. I just wish the relationship took a different course of action. Although, I am sure he has learned from that experience, has evolved, and may have navigated the situation differently, if he was interviewed today. Last, I hope all involved, Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie, are content and happy in their lives.

I agree with you. I stand 100% for "till death do us part." If people these days took their time and made SURE of their LOVE for whoever they were marrying, people wouldn't be divorcing after 72 days like Kim Kardashian. When I see old couples in their 80s who have been together all their lives, I feel inspired to hold off on marriage until I find my true soul mate.

I do believe that his marriage with Aniston wasn't strong. I remember around that time, there was the rumor that he wanted kids & she didn't cause of her career. Then he meets beautiful Angie & bam...fell in love. It's the worst thing to be doing a movie with one of the most gorgeous women ever & be in a weak marriage. 😄😄😄

The often run story about Jennifer *not* wanting to have kids because of her career is a total lie. Back since the early beginnings in Friends (talking mid-90's etc.) until the moment she and Brad announced their separation, she has always been consistent in wanting to have the husband, the family and the children. There were two key factors in play. Firstly, Jennifer & Brad had a different persona and outtake on life. Brad wanted to explore the world and be adventurous, while Jennifer, because she hated to fly as she had a fear of flying, rather had the intention for them to be a grounded, down-to-earth American family living in Los Angeles. Secondly, their *view* on marriage was completely different and very conflicting. Maybe having been too much in a way that it was unable to be fixed. For Jennifer it was: _"until death do us part"_ while for Brad it was: _"we will see where it goes."_ It doesn't seem like full commitment from Brad and what was probably causing the rift. Nevertheless, he made the decision, now he is divorced again, so you're wondering whether he thought he made the right decision.
