At the heart of MegaTruckers is the man who built Heavy Haulage Australia from scratch - blue-collar hero, Jon Kelly. Obsessed with trucks from the age of 4, 32 year-old Jon has built HHA from a one truck operation to a $50million business in just 10 years. His mission is to push boundaries by taking on the jobs no-one else will -- and to change the hairy, brainless image of truckers by making sure his trucks and drivers are immaculate for every move. Jon has a huge ego and a fiery temper to match.

How much damage would that do to the roads? I thought these guys were the best of the best? Can't blame the truckie. He's just a driver!

You wouldn't think there would be much difference over 500mm or so, but a permit has to be adhered to

Load wasn't "undersized" trailer was not set up within permitted specs... the government cares about these things.

So what happened in the end? I once got done for less than one foot overheight on the Nullarbor and there isn't a powerline for 1,400 kms lol. Actually, what they did seems a bit of a no-no because they really should have checked their permits. I'm guessing they thought they would take a chance.

I got done in Tammin for being 105mm overlength by a pair of over zealous Wankers.

Says who? The moron who commented, that has an ego the size of Russia. JK probably has more knowledge, skill & money then you ever will. Wasn't him that made the company fold, the McAleese tosser drove it into the ground because he was too much competition for them. Admittedly that was his only fault, was letting them in. Might wanna get that ego checked out ay.... It's starting to make you look like a tosser.... Sorry too late.

It's a cut throat game that doesn't rely only on the big jobs, gotta be in it to win it and i see mcaleese trucks all the time they're not show ponies they're in it to their asses and certainly aren't dragging said ass through media, and sometimes showing too much of yourself can be detrimental to a man's business and if you like the man and get along with him he's great but to some others well he can be very much a wanker, it's a shame it folded but that's not on mcaleese head.

It's what happens when you have cowboy operators in the game. Jon was never going to survive in the industry with his attitude.
