BRABUS MV 12, Mercedes Benz ML 7.3S V12 (W163) (1998)
In 1997, Mercedes-Benz just brought to the market a fundamentally new M-Class SUV (or ML) and the masters from Bottrop decided to challenge the rest by turning this narrow frame SUV into a thunderstorm of the then supercars - the unique Brabus M V12.
The recipe for "cooking" is familiar to Brabus: a huge 7.3-liter V12 engine with a capacity of 582 forces was stuffed under the hood of the factory car, simultaneously refining the rest of the technical stuffing and slightly decorating the exterior with the interior.
The officially declared maximum speed of the Brabus M V12 was 280 km/ h, and the car was able to accelerate further, but the Yokohama Off-Road AVS V801 tires, which were specially designed for this project, could not cope with the loads!However, this was enough for representatives of the Guinness Book of World Records to recognize the car as the fastest SUV in the world. It took 5.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.In total (in the period from 1998 to 2001), only 12 such machines were built, with a base price of 428,000 German marks.
