Umm at 2:28 when he sais "im better off" when he sais "off" you can hear his voice going a tone lower very artificially... that really sounds like autotune and a human cant do that. Also other artists very blatantly use autotune in their open mics. Open mics are just a more vocal version of the original song. But even with autotune his voice is great. Way better than other artists who cant sing without autotune.

Just found this dude.. I love Elliott smith, i love Twiddle, I like modest mouse a lot, I love playing their songs, and I love writing songs off the cuff. Nothing has ever made me want to quit smoking more than the possibility of me ever losing my voice enough that I can't sing anymore. Being able to play guitar, piano and stuff without being able to sing would feel like being made blind but still being able to hear and feel touch and stuff.

he doesn't even use autotune in his songs, that's how amazing he is... doesn't need it, just layers his voice and sings over himself. It always astounds me that he hasn't even once actually used autotune.

I don’t think he even uses autotune. People would be surprised at the amount of singers that don’t rely on autotune at all. There’s a pretty high amount. All he does is layer his voice in whatever DAW he uses, which is most likely Logic Pro X (since most professionals use it).
