As a parent of a chid who also has had a brain tumor removed. Not just once but twice, it is one of the hardest things to go through. It's like an slow emotional execution. On top of all this emotional pain it's a constant fight to keep a job that are absolutely not understanding of why your attendance at work is not 100%. Brain tumors tear people apart. It just amazing to see this family so happy and holding strong. It's worth the fight to get to see your child every day. Never forget that your child is special in so many ways, because he has beaten death.

The steroids were very necessary they are what gave Bradley whatever time he had left, without them his intercrainial pressure would be so high the pain would be uncontrollable even with the strongest opiates and Bradley would have suffered more and died quicker. Yours sincerely an RN.

Natalie Pray you can remove tumors. Doesn't mean it's successful. This type of tumor cannot be removed solely because of its location.

It’s not just location that means it can’t be removed. It’s because the cancer cells are mixed in with the healthy cells. Imagine, if you will, a bowl of rice and the rice represents the healthy cells and then you mix in some uncooked beans and those represent the cancer cells. It’s not a solid mass that can just be extracted. Plus, it’s in the Pons, which controls heart rate, breathing and many other essential functions. All around a very dismal situation with basically 100% fatality rate.

I feel like the treatment they put these kids through is so cruel they pump them full of drugs and radiation it's so cruel. Much worse than the tumor in my opinion. I can't imagine the level of discomfort he's going through
