they were married for 16 years. Before that, they dated for several years. She was only a teenager when they met in Battle of the Network Stars.

They were always a bit hot and cold. He was the one reluctant to get married at first. He quite a bit older then her. But they looked like they gonna last but it did not. Part of Melissa issues is probably her looks yeh she great as Laura half pint tomboy, it fit the role, but as she grew up and to get more rules tweaked things and maybe to try and look attractive to guys when she like 18 and eventually it took its tole on her body. So now she seems happily remairred and letting nature take its course.
