Beterbiev still learning boxing? He had 300 amatuer fights and is 38 years old. I Think he's learnt all he needs to.

I like both of them a lot. Both a role models for the sport of boxing. And it will be a war of styles! I think Beterbiev with a very late stoppage.

They always said that to sell the ticket just like 4 years ago when beterbiev claim the wbc light heavyweight againts gvosdyck everyone said that is even match gvosdyck with undefeated record 17-0 againts beterbiev 14-0 but it proved the miss match exelence boxer gvosdyck can land so many punch on beterbiev but he also cannot hold the beterbiev power and knocked out in round 10.

Wrong. Its a totally unmatched pairing. GGG is great…but pales in comparison to Canelo.

Artur is the best fighter we have and no one in his category is even close . Bivol has been avoiding him for years counting on him to get older but no such luck. He will have to face Artur or admit the defeat.

Only reason they wouldn’t let him fight for the WBC title is because they were trying to corner Bivol and starve him into a rematch with Canelo at 175 and Bivol wasn’t having it. @MrShahrozzz So, Canelo is not as good or even better than Beterbiev? Canelo has fought the who's who of boxing. Who has Beterbiev fought? Usyk defeated him two out of three in the amateurs and lost a very close decision in the third fight. Bivol basically took Canelo apart. Bivol will make Beterbiev quit. Beterbiev has been down in two of his fights and nearly KO'd in one of them. He also doesn't like to get hit. His offense is what carries him as his defense is crap.

I wouldn't either... except when he's facing the human wrecking machine with a 100% KO rate. Bivol has to fight an almost perfect fight to win, Beterbiev connects once & its lights out. 9 times out of 10, the more pure "boxer," wins against the heavy handed puncher. Imho, this is the 1 exception. Either way, can't wait, less than a month away, we will find out June 1st!

People that never stepped in the ring tend to believe that a technical boxer is an outside boxer because they can perceive better their techniques due to the longer distance. Beterbiev is as much technical in the inside as Bivol in the outside. Both have similar stamina but Bivol needs to fight in the backfoot which is a lot more draining and Arthur can hunt and cut the ring all night long.Volume of punches is similar but Beterbiev’s packed with far more power… From the above, Beterbiev in 10.

Both undefeated,good and russians i don’t know who’s gonna win but i always want to watch beterbeiv fights. So I will go for beterbiev to win.

Beterbiev is getting older while Bivol is in his prime. 4 years ago, i would have bet my house on Beterbiev but i'm not so sure right now. Still, i'll bet on Beterbiev. The only question you have to ask isn't how to handle his power but how long you can take it and as of now, the only answer is "not long enough".

As good as Bivol is, I don’t see him surviving Beterbiev’s power shots whether in the arms, shoulders, body, head, anywhere will be painful. Bivol will try to survive after the first hits and then eventually gets caught and gets knocked out.

Bivol is a good fighter but they are trying to age Beterbiev before fighting him, Bivol struggled with richards who is a good fighter that never got a fair shake Beterbiev beats him on skill

With his amazing plasticity Pirog evaded punishment by moving his head and upper body much better than Canelo does that. As for offensive skills, nobody is better than Beterbiev unless we are talking about Mike Tyson in his prime.

Beterbiev power, pressure, ring IQ, terrifying fighter 🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊. Beterbiev downloads data and adjusts accordingly 😂, even if Artur loses a couple of rounds , he will wear bivol down 😂

Bivol is a more technical a smarter fighter but no one should disregard Beterbiev toughness and power. I wish they don't fight because I like them to stay undefeated.

But Beterbiev's opponents are shook. He's powerful for sure but it's not a one punch KO that surprises you, Beterbiev is relentless and powerful, he brings pain and despair. Hagler and Golovkin were like that too, and i believe by being heavier, Beterbiev won't feel "age" as quickly as Golovkin. Anyway, it will be an amazing fight and one to watch for years !

I certainly go with the majority opinion and think Beterbiev will stop Bivol in six. I am not so sure Bivol could handle Yarde or Gvozdyk. His punch selection lacks versatility. He seldom goes to the body and he has no uppercut to speak of. Bivol's jab is very good but it's not nearly as powerful as Beterbiev's jab. Bivol fights well on the outside but he does not have an inside game and he is not a match of Artur in the pocket, will be dismantled.

Bivol is a significantly better boxer than Yarde, just look at his Zurdo fight. Bivol is better than Gvozdyk and he keeps his distance much better. Beterbiev will still be able to TKO him on hard punches but it will be far later in the fight, maybe round 10-12. Smith isn't in the same caliber as any of these guys

@@alexyo2440 Some give Bivol too much credit for his defense, but he is not even near in the sweet art of defense to another Russian Dmitry whose last name is Pirog. Dmitry Pirog had the best defense in pro boxing, better than Canelo. With his plasticity, upper body and head movement, Pirog did not make it possible for anybody to hit him clean.

If ur opponent is artur beterbiev better to knock him out in early round 1 2 & 3 if you Cant you ko because both hands is a sledge hammer and can recover quickly in the fight he is a monster in 175lbs until now , at age 39

It is hard to go against Artur Beterbiev no one has ever gone 12 rounds with him that says it all.

One of the best match-ups in boxing today, and one of the hardest to pick the winner, a true style vs style bout. I can see it going the distance, with Artur's greater frequency of power shots edging Bivol's combinations.

@@latestboxingnews Only one caveat to that. A ridiculously high percentage of undefeated pro fighters' first loss is by KO. Statistically, it's likely one loses by KO. Or maybe they cancel each other out? Whatever, it should be a great fight.

The fact that Beterbiev managed to floor Usyk 2 times amateurs, says a lot of hi's technique. He's not only strong, he has strong and underrated basics, timing and he's master of cuting of the ring.

Beterbiev has destructive power but Bivol, too, has destructive skills. Maybe the more intelligent of the two will ultimately prevail.

Beterbeiv for me doesn't waste any energy and bangs rarely gets hit clean very good defensively despite marching on and from what sparring partners have said who done both beterbeiv will walk him down and stop him in 8%%%%

Bivol isn't man enough to withstand Beterbiev. No killer instinct at all. The lack of power means he has no way to keep Beterbiev off of him either. He's got pop, sure, but he doesn't have the kind of power to deter Artur. Bivol gets moved to the ropes and broken down. KO comes 8-10. Inevitable.

My prediction is this: Beterbiev by stoppage, then Canelo ducks both Benavidez and Beterbiev, forcing Benavidez to challenge Beterbiev. Beterbiev knocks out Benavidez, then Canelo finally challenges Beterbiev for an undisputed vs undisputed mega fight which Beterbiev manhandles Canelo like how Khabib manhandled Mcgregor. 😀

I think Benavidez fights Bivol first& wins. The fight with Beterbiev! Benavidez is young, how good his chin is, is up for ?, but Beterbiev can put him to 😴 also. Style wise Benavidez they are similar, but Beterbiev has more experience due mostly to his mature career & he also fought the bigger punchers. If they fight within the next 3 years, I go all in with Beterbiev, later then that I go with Benavidez.

Canelo vs Beterbiev will never happen. Canelo knew instantly that he had no shot against Beterbiev, so he wanted to try Bivol. Look back to when Roy Jones Jr. Beat John Ruiz. He didn't go after the true Heavyweight champion at the time( the Klitchko brothers or Lennex Luis ). He knew he had advantages over Ruiz & he didn't have to worry about getting knocked out, thus why he never stood at Heavyweight nor attempted to get at least one defense, it would've been too risky.

He said it would be more interesting for him, after he unites the LHW division, to win some belts in Cruiwerweight. By the way, Saudis have let everyone know that they want the winner of Bivol vs Beterbiev to fight Jai Opetaia. While it would be ridiculous to match up small LHW Bivol against the Aussie, Beterbiev is certainly willing to challenge him and then Usyk. He does not care much about small men.

The blueprint to beat Beterbiev has already been created, by Usyk. Usyk outboxed Beterbiev and - more importantly - beat him to the punch with real hard fast punches, not patter-punches. If Bivol can do that, he has every chance to win. I believe he can, but it would have to be a superlative performance.

Mistake, yeah whatever… I didn’t know that chasing the best fights was a mistake!

I am a fan of both, and rooted for both, and was confident each would prevail as they have. But now my two idols will fight each other, and Beterbiev has more beast in him. "However" in this case, Beterbiev will be put to a serious test, which will demand the best skills, but also "stamina". It appears Beterbiev hits the hardest of the two. Joe Smith hit Bivol right at the bell, when Bivol in anticipation of the bell relaxed a second to soon. But when they came back out Bivol was not scared, gun shy, or trying to stay away, he walked right in and started engaging, almost taking Joe out. So under stress, Bivol will not be intimidated, and he will also be slinging, he does have a knockout punch. But Callum Johnson did find Beterbiev's chin, and sent him down. Out of Callum's 14 knockouts none were with upper-class fighters, "but yet" he sent Betterbiev to the canvas, Bivol is a way better chin finder than Johnson was. In a serious boxing contest, and battle Betterbiev will be given a greater test requiring more stamina, against a younger fighter, and a fighter who will not provide a chin so easily. Callum Smith was way overrated, Canelo beat his ass up, he had no chance against Beterbiev. Don't even use that as a reference in measuring Beterbiev. Callum Smith couldn't even put John Ryder away, he won on points. Bivol is no Callum Smith, no Joe Smith. He gave Gilberto Ramirez a boxing lesson when Ramirez was knocking everybody out. Here is my opinion. Bivol is younger with way more stamina, and still has unknown talents, he still has a knockout punch. If Beterbiev doesn't knock Bivol out in the first four rounds, the rest of the fight is Bivol's. Bivol will have twelve rounds to find that chin. And keep his chin unavailable, he knows Beterbiev will take him out if he doesn't. I give Bivol the better chance of winning a fight with Beterbiev. Artur Beterbiev has three belts whereas D'mytri Bivol has only one belt. This says that Beterbiev is above and will be beyond Bivol in July. Teddy Atlas seems to believe that Bivol is too damn good and that nobody wants to fight D'mitry Bivol. Not so. Beterbiev has been chasing Bivol and Bivol has been avoiding Beterbieve. Now Bivol has no other choice but to fight Beterbieve. Beterbiev will do to Bivol what he just did to Callum Smith. Bivol is a far better athlete in every aspect except power.

Boxing expert my ASS. most of them is not even a boxer. It's 50/50 for both fighter. Which is rare in the present fights of boxing. Most fights today, before the start of the fight you know who's going to win.

You can’t tell these guys anything. They see a stoppage or KO, and lose their mind. Bivol, like you hinted, is just a more skilled and cerebral fighter than Beterbiev. This will show in the fight, easily. Then all of the Beterbiev fans will jump ship, just like the Spence cronies.
