Even though I ordered the Box Two Prime 9 it's considered the best groupset after years of trying them, worth the money, & definitely agree with "Less is More".

Used BOX components, rear derailleur shifters cog set 11 speed on my Specialized Hardrock 29er came out great runs great bike looks bad ass now.

Box 1 P9 is a no brainer component on my dream build...

You forgot to mention an important point: before cable install, shift the index to the lowest gear so you have the least amount of slack in the cable before attaching to the derailleur.

Box components are great

I hope the box 3 will get some reviews soon after it’s launch, I want to know whether or not to get box or Shimano, hoping box 🤞

stick with Shimano!!!!!! 2 weeks ago I bought the Box Two I installed it just like this video it was an easy install I started to adjust everything and thats when I realized this Box is crap!! I even took it to my LBS and they had a heck of a time trying to get it right! I went back to shimano XT!!!!!!!

@@mtn_manhills3688 I've had Box Two on my fattie for two years worked on it myself and LBS has worked on it without issue. I wonder if you got a drivetrain that wasn't up to par that slipped through QC. I also know many people who have installed it and have had no problems.

Good morning or afternoon. I just subscribed great content. I have a question. What reasonably priced front crank/cog (one by) do you recommend to be used with these group sets??

I have the box two p9. I noticed on mine and in the video its gets louder as you get into the lower gears. Can't tell if something's off or if this is normal. Tried adjusting b limit to quiet it a bit, but can't tell.

Is the adjustment procedure the same for the standard 11 speed box two?

are 11 and 12 speed narrow wide rings fit well with 9 speed chain ? or need a special ring ?

I use a gx eagle crank and vhainring and it works just good, no need to worry there

Turn that funky background vibe down a bit, it gets hard to hear the details of the spoken instructions at the tail end of the video

What size ferrules/housing do I need? I have 4mm housing, but the ferrule doesn't fit snug in to the shifter.

We suggest plastic ferrules that are 4mm. Our shifters can not hold bigger ferrules' diameter. Please email us at orders@boxcomponents.com if you have any further questions.

Wouldn’t you want to do shifter cables after the chain? Considering that installing the chain would introduce some slack to the shifter cable?

We mention to install the chain first because some will install the cable and try to adjust the limits with no chain. On our derailleur, the upper pulley will hit the cassette if the cable is installed with no chain. The chain is needed to add tension to the system and provide clearance for the upper pulley.

It's almost here! It looks like FedEx changed my delivery date from tomorrow to the day after though... grrrrr!! Anywho, something I just realized, I can't tell if a cable housing is included with the shifter, or. is it just the cable itself? I hope a housing comes with it, otherwise I will have to order another one... the one that is on my bike now is almost too short (I installed slightly wider handlebars), and it looks like this derailleur sticks out a little farther than my stock derailleur...

Fcuk me I feel like i just watched a 70s porn movie and voiced over by a dude recording on a 70s mic. :D I want an installation video of the Box Three Prime 9, cause i want to know why there is an alloy spacer. It surely can't be to space the 9spd cassette out? Then it would just be like a... 12speed cassette reducer spacer to a 9 and that's not what I was told by my rep. I've not had a chance to read through the book as it's in the customers house just now till installtion. Cheers.

if I'm forced to use a standard chain in a pinch, what speed would I use? this would obviously be a temporary fix.

@Box Components A couple of questions... 1. Will these come with cable housing? 2. Will this cassette require the use of a spacer with a standard Shimano 11 speed hub? 3. Will a master link come with the chain? If not, will a standard 9 speed master link work with the supplied chain? Thanks!

What lunatic puts music onto an instructional video? plenty of cheezy elevator music videos on you tube if you want to listen to cheezy elevator music. Very hard to make out what the guy is saying. Great drivetrain though in fairness..

That shitt is hard to get it a bit right up or down shifting!! No worth the money! Gas gas yeaghhh

The background music and beat in this video are far too loud for the much quieter & softer dictation. This makes it impossible to hear the speech at several parts of the video e.g. the B Screw adjustment. What a waste of what otherwise seems to be an excellent video.

PLEASE! Lose the music!! It almost completely obliterates what the narrator is saying.

If you are about to install any box products onto your bike don't bother, save yourself the heartache and get a refund. Seriously. Buyer beware. I've been more than patient and studious, i'm nifty with tools and could not get my box 2 prime 9 drivetrain to work reliably neither could the bike shop. Honestly, just stop.
