I have a Cradlepoint IBR600C with Verizon. I am using it as a fallback device for when my Frontier fiber optic connection fails. Most things are working fine. However, I have 2 apps that allow me to communicate with my security system, neither of these will work with the Cradlepoint. I cannot access my LTS Network Video Recorder either. I've been told that these devices utilize “Port Forwarding” (whatever that is). I don't really understand this. These things work PERFECTLY with my Frontier fiber connection. How can I get them to work with Cradlepoint?

You would have to log into the cradle point and setup port forwarding (it allows you to see your cameras outside of the network). If port forwarding is setup on your standard router you can copy over those same settings into cradlepoint if it’s port forwarding compatible.

Hello, was wondering if I would have to pay for the cell service, like does this device require a contract with a company like at and t???

Each cradle point (a network device) has its own management GUI console accessible by the IP address associated with it, check the documentation of your device to access it… afterwards, you can scroll to the Wi-Fi menu and choose not to broadcast OR disable as the case may be
