Made this bowl 2 years ago, one of my favorite and most admired works. Thanks Tom. Hope you will teach again at MASW in 2023.

Great Video Tom. I like how you go into detail on how to make this bowl. That will help a lot of people including me. I subscribed and rang the bell. Thanks.

@@TomLohman unfortunately you are a little far away ( 7000 miles ) . One day i hope i have a chance to make it. Thank you. You are very kind
Very beautiful! Especially good finish. It would be nice to make a bowl with more curved profile, but I guess this would need a second board.
Very nice! I never thought about plywood either. My only improvement comment would be to change your camera angle so that we can see from your perspective for the paper portion. Great job.
what brand or model is that awesome compass? Great vid. Love how you use the graph paper with real measurements.
Very, very nice and witty court system. Congratulations. The black dots you see in the bowl are drill holes?
Hi Tom, How did you get the base exterior with the weave pattern and the base interior with the flat exterior of the sheet goods? Nice work, along with a great instruction video.
Amazing. Are your design skills natural?

I was an electrical engineer with very little artist in me, so I had to teach myself. Used design techniques from engineering and spent countless hours looking at art and started small. Some of my ideas just pop into my head, but others I have to work at.
That's a very nice bowl appreciate the work that you put into it. Can the use of lathe which is an object not be used for action the correct term is turn, turned, or turning. Please keep showing your art, I learn a lot from your work. Thank you
As was already said, very nice. However we cannot see anything you did on paper and I was very unclear on the whole process...from about 3:10 to 7:00 I had no clue what you were actually doing. That said, I would lover to because it turned out well

Yes, a bit more explanation of the theory would be very useful.

Jason Siler just different ways to cut the rings. But with the Ring Master there is a hole in the middle
