@@-undertale--pro- In Australia its Christmas in less than an hour, so I thought I would say it. Also, Giffpatch wouldn't make another tutorial until after Christmas so it is the ideal time to say it, and I saw the video 7 seconds after it came out too, s I didn't want to wait to say it. lol ik I just said a lot
Hey Griffpatch Happy New Year! The particle effects were perfect for new years and Christmas. I want to thank you for teaching young people to code on scratch with your amazing tutorials! I and so many other Scratchers appreciate your fun and creative tutorials on KZread. I have always wanted to create my very own game since I was a child, creating a game with a story full of L O R E for your community to figure out, and the many unique mechanics that you can put in your game. And someday we might make a popular game. Have a Happy New Years! :D
Merry Christmas Griffpatch! You helped me start my interest coding and I am very grateful. I now do C# and Unity and without your tutorials I can't imagine being where I am now in programming. Once again, thanks Griffpatch for being inspiring and making new scratchers not feel disadvantaged from all the advanced concepts out there. ☃️

Wow, I just checked the youtube home page and saw that this was posted under a minute ago. Great video as always, particles add so much detail to a game! Merry Christmas as well!

I had a video idea for you; a replay system for games with saving and loading of codes! I myself figured this out a while back, but I think many people would struggle with it, and it would have helped my greatly when I was making mine. :)

All of your project is the best. Congratulation.
Merry Christmas Griffpatch! I shall gift you a delicate but challenging video idea! Make a backpackable blur effect. Like one or two sprite as if it were used like post processing for the entire screen perhaps using the image scanner which can branch out to a bloom tutorial. The biggest problems to overcome are pen layering and performance(as I assume bloom/blur could be heavy in scratch and hard to implement real-time)
I love all your tutorials!
Merry christmas griffpatch!

Merry christmas! I love how you are still keeping your intro from the first episode of Tile scrolling platformer! I've been watching you for more than a year. Do you remember me? The one who asks you to make list based raycaster? (by the way I'm not asking you to make a list based raycaster) I'm a big fan of your channel, because my computer had some problem so I can't comment in previous videos. Long time no see you!
Brilliant!
I'll use it, thanks!
Also, one thing! To make random sounds easier, you can use pick random from the sound number in the list and same for the second bubble.

Hey Griff, I got an idea for another big tutorial series. It's a battling type game where there's different stages of games. Let's use Undertale as an example: There's gonna be arrows to allow you to switch different pages. Page 0 is the first menu where you can choose to play, load and save. Page 1 is the page is basic, you have an inventory where you can equip new armor and weapons. There's also a shop where you can buy weapons and armor or other stuff like healing abilities. Which in Undertale, is food. So you can buy food. And in the battle the food appears on the side of the screen and you can click it to heal. Page 2 is where you can select battles. You can click on a box and it will bring you to a battle. Page 2 is the first level of the entire game. Page 3 you have to defeat the final boss of level 1 to access. And same with page 4. You have to defeat the final boss of page 3 to access. And this can keep going on and on Battling will work like this: once you enter a battle the enemy starts attacking you. You can press a specific key (for example: 1) to slash the enemy with your weapon. The enemy will have a certain cool down before attacks and you have a certain cool down between your attacks as well. Rewards: once you beat an enemy, depending what the enemy is you get a certain amount of XP and GOLD. However you can also get more rewards like better weapons, armor or abilities. Abilities: if you unlock the abilities you can have a certain amount equipped at a time (whether it's 2 , 1 or how ever many the creator wants.) And the abilities could either be activated manually and automatically. For example: if the ability was "heal 5 health every 15 seconds" then it's automatic. But if it's an ability like "shoot a fireball that deals 50 damage to the opponent." Then it's manual. The manual abilities could be activated pressing a key (for example: the number keys). Levels: once you get a certain amount of XP you can level up. The amount of XP required for the next level will grow for each level. There can be a cap for levels or none at all. Like if you want the max levels to be 100 then you set the level cap to 100. And also if you level up your health and damage will increase. Rebirths or resets: once you reach a certain point in the game (can be a certain level, or a certain page you got, or even the amount of gold you have) then you can reset/rebirth. This will reset your progress but give a 1.1x multiplier to XP and gold for each rebirth. So if you have 10 rebirths you have a 2x multiplier and XP and gold. Permanent things: there are 2 types of weapons, armor, foods and abilities. Non permanent and permanent. The non permanent things you will lose after you rebirth. The permanent things you get to keep after you rebirth. The permanent things can be and event weapon, or or a certain armor. Not everything will be permanent. Events: you can fight this at any level or part of the game you're at as long as the event is up. The event will be a box in page 1 and if there's no event currently, the box is empty. But if there is an event it will have something in it. If you fight and beat the event, you could get a certain weapon, ability or armor exclusive to the event. Special effects: this is to make the game stand out more. If you are on a certain page there's a different background for each page. The background could move up. Down, left or right. If you press a specific button a different effect could happen. Either a spark, or a firework. Or anything. Secrets: you can add secrets to the game. Like if you fight 2 different battles in a specific order you unlock a new battle. Or if you fight a specific battle a specific amount of times then you unlock a new battle. Anything after the line is an edit. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas everyone
Evil griffpatch be like: *create a new custom block, don't click run without screen refresh* *create a new variable, naming it ALL CAPS, and set it for this sprite only* *we need to round up this number, we can do this with the ceiling operator*
Less go best tutorial ever :D

I love your videos Griffpatch thanks for the amazing content. I think I have a new idea for a coding playlists what about if you would make scratch in scratch so new coders could easily learn how the code works in a more simple scratch editor all in a project

Hey there Griffpatch and other scratchers! I wanted to ask: I made a wavy mountain level and the particles were boucing weirdly, is there any why to improve this? I am hoping there would be a part 3 on better boucing codes! ^_^ Anyways, good job on these videos! They helped me so much.
Merry Christmas, Griffpatch! (If you celebrate it).
