Bougied-out Dog Dish: Louis Vuitton Inspired using LiME LiNE Metal Flake Candy Paint

Welcome to my DIY episode featuring a custom painted dog dish using LiMELiNE products! In this episode, I will guide you through the process of creating a stunning panel style design using LiMELiNE 1/8 inch and 1/16 inch tape, which can be easily found on Amazon.
After laying out the tape, I will demonstrate how to mix up LiMELiNE candy, black, and edge colors to achieve a seamless blend with the tape. Additionally, I will show you how I created a unique custom root beer candy by mixing the three primary colors together. To bring out the best in my design, I reduced the mixture with urethane reducer before painting the remaining parts.
Along with the panel design, I will also incorporate the iconic Louis Vuitton pattern by cutting it using the Design Space app on a Cricut maker three. This adds a stylish touch to the overall look of the dog dish.
To make it even more eye-catching, I will finish off the design with LiMELiNE Variegated Leafing, which will be securely glued on using sprayable Sizing glue.

The gold leaf does it have to stay as full sheets? Can you not cut them in half before laying seems... like a waste.

Adam. I could really use some advice with pricing paint jobs. I remember you saying to charge at least $1500 for a job if you so a decent job. I’m a pretty good painter. Better than a lot of the work I see locally if I’m honest. But how do I charge for “just a tank”? Needs body work vs no body work required? Single color vs candies and flakes and graphics? Painting the frame? As I make more of a name for myself on Maui I’m fine with $50 to $75 an hour. But my goal is to get to $100 an hour as a top level painter. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!!

I wouldn’t charge any less than $1000 for a tank. Remember, some of the easiest ones can turn out to be the hardest.
