I'm SO jealous of you. I had one of these - same model and year, but in Red, back in 1972 - my first car. I LOVED it, and it served me well. Always keep plenty of clean spark plugs in the boot as they get dirty very often. Mine was a RHD as I'm in England. It was such a fun, very 'willing' engined car. I had to change the cylinder head gasket once and it took about an hour - so easy, not having valves to cope with. I swapped it for a V4 after a couple of years, then a SAAB 99, and then a series of 900s - 7 SAABS in total. Good luck with this project - it looks in really good condition for its age. I'm so looking forward to seeing this one resurected, but I wish you would just leave it as a normal soon, NOT a race car. Anyway, well done and take care 🙂

My two favourite cars are Saab 96 and Mazda MX5. You own both. Love your vintage jacket, we have the same taste.

Long term storage two strokes have the unfortunate tendency to rust and/or corrode the crankshaft and wrist pin bearings. I hope your new find doesn't have that issue.

Omg, thank you for your comment! Yed ill need all the luck and help in the world. Soon ill make a video about going to the RDW to get a dutch license plate for the car. From that moment on ill slowly make the car drive able. And after all of that the race car project is going to start. If i dont change my mind.😂

The rubber thing at 14:25 is for a Citroën DS rear suspension. It’s a rubber boot for the return of LHM suspension fluid. 😂

The mighty three with the overhead fanshaft!

Interestingly, today the original number plate on your car belongs to a Chevrolet Camaro from 1969, imported into Sweden in 2010.... The "cap" that you are showing in the trunk looks exactly like something called a "cafetière" on a Citroen DS/ID, strange... I am myself an owner of a Citroen DS, but my dad had a 2 stroke Saab 96 in the mid-1960'ies and he bought a new V4 in 1967. I might also myself consider a vintage Saab some day. Hope you get it on the road, despite the missing papers.

That is awsome! Youre roght about the number plate. Its being anoying to get the car a dutch license. Becouse the swedish roads thing has said that they dont know the car. So I am looking to find a way to call them my self and see if there is any document they can find in the archive.
