The most underrated line is when Hazel is telling the Bottoms that her mom is doing the quarterback and they’re like, “Jeff?” And Hazel says, “I thought ‘Jeff’ was his safe word.” Which means Jeffy boy was shouting HIS OWN NAME during flagrante delecto 😂

If there's someone that will get the level of sarcasm and satire in this movie, it's you guys. And Hazel doesn't get sarcasm through the whole movie. She believed Josie ate shit, believed juvi, and believed when PJ said "yeah" when Hazel suggested the bomb ahahaha.

the fact that emma seligman, ayo edebiri and rachel sennott are good friends from film school it’s very cool, one of the reasons rachel and ayo have so much chemistry on screen is because they have it off screen too, the three of them are phenomal actors and director and comedy geniuses

ayo and rachel are incredible in this movie, their comedic timing is incredible!! if you want more things to watch them in, Ayo stars in “The Bear” on hulu which is a little on the harsher side but still so freaking incredible. Ayo also played a minor role in ATSV (one of gwens bandmates) and was April in the newest TMNT! Rachel is probably most know for the horror movie “Bodies Bodies Bodies”, thanks for reacting to this!!

And... Ayo just won an Emmy for her performance on The Bear, along with her co-stars Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and the show just won for Outstanding Comedy. One of the best shows on television right now. Ayo and Rachel are national treasures.

I highly recommend Shiva baby. It's like if panic attack was a 1hr 27 min movie. It's also directed by Emma Seligman and also stars Rachel Sennott.

One of the best and most underrated comedies of 2023. Great satire of toxicity of genders and high school films. Ayo And Rachel really shined here with their performances and chemistry. Wish to get more comedies like this.

Top five movie of last year for me personally, bought it right away. Cast is perfect but Ayo and Rachel have been great in everything I’ve ever seen them in; Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Bodies Bodies Bodies, Shiva Baby. I appreciate the hell out of a super gay movie that’s all about the women

The Bear, Shiva Baby, Bodies Bodies Bodies……..these are amazing projects you really should watch that these actresses are part of.

What I don't see a lot of people point out (and I had to have it pointed out by me) is how you can see Hazel comforting Mister G about his divorce in the background (and it makes sense because she is dealing with her parent's divorce).

Yesssss! Please please please do Red, White & Royal Blue. It is such a great romcom. One of the best throwbacks since How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, 13 Going on 30, etc. I would love to see your reaction. (And it has "Jeff" playing a very different role from Bottoms.😄)

love the acknowledgement that it's kind of parody/satire like the early 2000s had but also it's like kind of sincere at times?? like it wouldn't work as well as it did if this cast wasn't 1000% committed like they are. idk but they really nailed this movie and i love it a lot and need more of them. also i highly recommend rewatching just to watch all the nonsense going on in the background lmao very unserious movie i love it

Ps: want another lgbt satire comedy The more the better, the last one I watched before this one was a movie from the 90s called "but I'm a cheerleader" and a comedy/horror called "bodies bodies bodies", the actress that plays PJ is in this one, she's very funny. This movie was awesome and I want more movies of its style! We already have like thousands of gay period dramas hahah, it's a little overdone

This was one of my favorite films of last year!

Man I loved this movie. It's just one of those comedies that knows exactly what it wants to be and nails it. The cast is fantastic across the board.

Also highly recommend SHIVA BABY, also directed by Emma Seligman and starring Rachel Sennot. It's more anxiety/uncomfortable comedy. Like Nathan Fielder/Safdies vibe.

I went into this movie knowing nothing other than the fact that it's a "gay fight club". When I watched it and then immediately realized that there is nothing of reality within this movie. I was down. The kid in the cage. The football players wearing their uniforms with padding. The teacher who still feels like a real teacher except reading porn in class. Rhis movie is hilarious and ita laready gonna be iconic. Honestly, it's giving me Mean Girl energy and how that movie became iconic. This one is giving me the same energy/ vibes/ feel (whatever you wanna call it) that, that movie did. I've watched so many people react to this movie, just because I want to see them go through the same ridiculousness as I did.

When Greg was talking about how the cast all got that the way to sell the comedy was to play it straight, it reminded me of something Jason Segel said on Conan's podcast. When he was thinking about writing Forgetting Sarah Marshall, he went and talked to Judd Apatow and Judd's advice was to write it as a drama and just through the way Jason sees the world, the comedy would shine through and it would work a lot better than if he was intentionally trying to write a comedy.

This movie was so hilarious and easily one of my favorites.

This is gonna be my favorite Reel Rejects video, I can already tell. This movie is wild 🤣

Please please PLEASEEEEE watch The Bear. Most intense show I’ve seen in a long time. Not to mention, Ayo is amazing in that as well.

Best comedy in the past decade!

I have few friends in the industry, and one of them- since we recorded the film Handsome Devil (Released 2016) is Nicholas Galitzine. This is the FUNNIEST role he has ever played, and he had the best time playing this role. I strongly suggest looking into his work starting with Handsome Devil- he is an AMAZING human and a great actor.

I just watched this tonight and LOVED it. The natural Chemistry and flow between the two main leads was perfect and comedic timing was on point. Not sure if it’s mentioned but the girl who plays Brittany is Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawfords daughter. And I absolutely got a female Superbad vibe from this movie.
