I took it differently because I'm the same way in friend groups. When I have a best friend I'm the one that melts into the background of everyone else because I'm usually the quietest/ most reserved. When I get best friends, people usually refer to us as the 3 Musketeers, twins, etc. (depending on how many of us there are in the group) because we are just together as much as possible. I hadn't thought of your interpretation before but it certainly could mean that. She seemed to be questioning until PJ kissed her. And fully realized it at the game when PJ was kissing Hazel. Thank you for making me add even more depth to her character =^_^=

A lot of people miss that Hazel is comforting the teacher after he admitted to his divorce, I freaking love her so much. Also, a lot of people have stated that Hazel is very Autism-coded. Spoiler for those who haven't seen the movie: One thing I noticed is she mixes up times when she did the car 💣she verbally said she was trying to do 15 minutes but accidentally did seconds. Then later with the tree, she was trying to do 15 seconds but she accidentally did the reverse and did minutes 🤣

The best thing ever!

Watched this in a tiny cinema, like 20 people total kinda tiny. It was the best experience. We all scream sang along to total eclipse, a bottle of vodka was being passed around, people were rhinestoning someones leg cast we all laughed and cheered so loud we ruined the screening next door. This movie brought out the surreal in all of us haha

Not the point, but Rachel and Ayo were born in 1995, making them two very chaotic millennials. The downside of being in the 93-95 cluster is everyone forgets us or lumps us in with the 80s babies. 😅 Otherwise, this movie’s randomness reminds me of Rocky Horror and Scott Pilgrim vs the World.

My favourite thing about this movie was the Sapphic gaze because the crushes are INTENSE which gives all of us hope.

I saw someone point out that the first time, Hazel means to set the bomb timer for 15 minutes but accidentally sets it for 15 seconds. The second time, she means to set it for 15 seconds and accidentally sets it for 15 minutes instead. Also, the sword that Sylvie picks up is Aragorn's sword from the Lord of the Rings. And that goth kid is definitely JD from Heather's coded, so they should probably check the boiler room for any bombs.

It's so silly but realistic to me the way she beat a huge boxer's ass for like half the fight but because she ultimately lost the dude was like "hm no surprise bc obviously you're just a weak woman" like I thought she was gonna snap his neck at one point did you not see that??

When Rachel said "Jeff is psychotic and he tried to murder us" in the principle's office, it made me think of scream queens. And now I kinda want a movie that is a good mix of Screen Queens and Bottoms (but more so bottoms cuz it's hella hella gay)

I think it's funny how Hazel actually believes they want to juvie, and when she brings up the bomb and PJ is like "yeah sure", she also doesn't catch the sarcasm and puts the bomb in the car.

This entire movie only happens cause Hazel doesn’t pick up on sarcasm. It’s honestly an ingenious script/character device to endear us to her while simultaneously setting up PJ’s flaws as a character!

This was fun haha. This movie flew under my radar and I actually ended up watching it just yesterday after seeing Alex Meyers recommend it and then came up your reaction. I enjoyed watching it with y'all! Perfect timing! And this movie was fun and wild! It was unique and something else haha.

I like second reactions too especially when you pick up on details you might not have noticed the first time around or any foreshadowing, I hadn’t noticed Rachel’s face during Ayo’s monologue about marrying Matthieu and that might not have come up in a first watch, so continue to do what you do =)

I don’t think Josie was weaponizing the fact that Jeff was cheating. I think in the moment she was trying to come clean, but then she got scared and then brought up the fact that he was cheating.

I saw this movie at the movie theater on my university’s campus a couple months after it came out and the gsa decided to go to it for their meeting. Basically I saw this in a room full of other queers which is the best possible way.
