Bottle and Nature Walk

Ойын-сауық

Join me on this fine little nature adventure as I explore a small stream and spring. I discover many old bottles, give out tips on interesting things to look out for, and even identify and eat some watercress. I also find a homeless persons camp and see evidence of many others.

    at 28 mun--it could be where the homeless folks may be burying their poop! Scary place! So sad about the homeless person who has a job and no decent place to sleep, or clean up. I guess they being close to the stream can clean themselves enough to go to work. God bless them, I will pray for them.

Nice spotting Daniel Small! 23:29 you touch the crack bag and you can hear a loud bang in the background, like someone is hitting wood against wood or stone against stone or something.

    The wooden box is most likely for geocaching. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geocaching People leave items somewhere and then leave information on a website or something so other people can find it and mark it. You take the item and move it to another cache or somewhere else and update the location. There's one website that uses unique coins so you can track where the coin has been.

    I went through creeks like this last summer, Beau. Ive been creek hiking since I was 12 years old, but the difference now is the camps in the suburban area I live.. I went up one creek last summer way up into this very inaccessible canyon , and right on the edge of the creek was a mattress, baby stroller,and plastic garbage bag after bag of wet mildewed clothes. I don't know how they got that stuff in there. The owners were long gone. I looked thru a few of the bags, and found two railroad telephone handsets , toys. They had kids down there!Later on , winter floods washed it all away. I never found the bottle dump that someone told me was there.

    that box is either a Geo cache or an equipment storage box for the park rangers/whoever with some kind of tool in it.

  • @purteejt
    @purteejt8 жыл бұрын

    My guess, that box is possibly a "Geocache". When doing a local search for caches that cache may provide a combination so that legitimate Geocachers can open it and fill out the paperwork inside. Previous caches may have been stolen or vandalized forcing the cache owner to keep replacing it and this may be their way stopping that problem. Just a guess!
