Underwater Treasure : A Mysterious Discovery
Ойын-сауық
In this video, I snorkel in the river and search an old submerged dump. I find some really interesting silver objects and many other artifacts. But the coolest thing I found was a large blob of cemented jewelry and other mysterious items.
As always this is a how to metal detecting outdoor adventure vlog that is family friendly and hopefully a fun video.
About Aquachigger:
I like to make videos that promote my lifestyle of outdoor adventure, metal detecting, yapping, searching for river treasure, SCUBA diving, exploring abandoned places, hiking, caving, caring for animals and pets, and observing the things outdoors that often go unnoticed. I keep my KZread "Aquachigger" channel family-friendly and hope you subscribe if you like my style.
I hope to see you guys out there!

In the second half of this video, I examine the finds from this underwater hunt. I really like the blob of artifacts I show at the end and would like to know what you guys think I should do with it. Should I X-ray it? Break it apart? Keep it as-is? Let me know what you think.

Didn’t you do electrolysis or something like that on some other stuff ? Get the rest off?
your spoon and forks from left to right. the first spoon is an oyster spoon, these were used to remove the oyster without the liquid so that they could be fried. the second is a cutting fork that was used to cut pieces of meat from a large roast. the last fork is a serving fork to put the meat on people's plates. These used to be expensive sets, often sold in a case with a knife and a bone clamp. Many of these sets were made in England, France and the Netherlands, see if you can find a makers mark. these sets were in use from the late sixteen hundred to the early nineteen hundred

Hi Shade, I'm so glad that you found inspiration and took a hold of it. I was also in the same kind of position I was 6' 300+ I'm now 6' 204 lbs still getting out there and exploring! Best of luck to you on your journey!!!
X-RAY the iron ball! Great video Chigg!
X ray sounds cool!
Hi Chig, JMK FROM THE UK here, the long silver fork with the tines close together is almost certainly a pickle fork, Victorian to Edwardian, I have a couple myself 😂 don't know why they were so popular, and I never realised that people ate so many pickles, hope this helps 👌
Yea your back under water cool
please do not apologize, your filming and editing are very good and we understand the circumstances of you being underwater and cold, so I enjoyed being there with you while you were doing all that underwater searching. Keep up the good work!
I miss the under water vids!!!! Glad it’s finally warming up
It's awesome to see you back in the water, Chigg. The lump of stuff is very interesting!❤
yes !!!!!!! Its Summer !!! Chiggs gone aqua !!
Yes see if Lyndsy will xray it! Loved the forks.
Good stuff, : ) I could watch you pull things out of the river for hours.
Always love the little fish 🐟 swimming around where you fan grabbing any lil scraps. Atleast that what I think they are doing. Always in the underwear fanning videos😊
I love these videos that you make on the river, looking for treasures.
X-Ray it MOoooar!! Sounds good!!
What ever you decided will be okay. I'll keep watching to see what you do.
god damnnnn. i could watch these water/river/stream videos for HOURS!! love it!
No apology needed, I’ve always enjoyed your water adventures! ✌🏼❤️
Good to see you back in the water chigger
I really admire you, Beau. I named one of my precious Tabby brothers after you; "Beau." He's my little gift from God - as is his brother, "Jonas." Thanks for everything you you and your wife do...
Maybe a little towards a brush & comb set? You know I kid as it's all part of Aquachigger's charm. Thanks for keeping it real, Beau!

Thanks so much!
Some pretty cool finds Chigg. That strange long spoon I would say is an olive spoon and the larger pronged fork is a meat fork. It stunned me when I saw it because when I was young I took one of my mothers sterling silver forks, flattened it out and spread the prongs, sharpened them and filed barbs on the ends. I had the fanciest frog gig ever. Yea, I got a few whacks with a belt when she found it strapped to the end of a pole. I had no clue about silver and such. I just needed a frog gig. Years later she sent it back to Rogers in the UK and had it restored and till the day she died she regretted not keeping it as it was because of the memory of our childhood. I will take it off your hands.....I need a gig. 😂
😎👍✌
I. hope poor critters don,t walk in there with all those sharp objects.
I bet it’s cold. Been a cool spring. Crabs on the Chesapeake are slow
Brilliant location & work Chigg! 👌 Hope the clump yields a gold coin or two for you, never mind silvers lol! All the best & thanks from your viewers in the U.K. ✌️
Yes he's back. This is what I like.
Hey Chig! That long, thin fork is probably a pickle fork, for reaching into pickle jars. Don't know what the others are. Nice mudlarking spot!
Ohhhh, a really interesting video and some crackin’ good finds. The mysterious blob, if it was mine would be X-rayed and then broken apart. It could be part of a metal lamp with crystal danglies adorning it. But I wouldn’t be able to sleep until I’d deconstructed it. Really nice to see you back in the water sir. Take care and maybe more dump digging in the future?🤞🏼💐
Enjoy your underwater videos - reminds me of my SCUBA diving days. Keep them coming now that it's getting summer time.
I like you doing it this way. Showing everything cleaned up
If indeed the blob is mostly metal, x-ray will not show much.
Very interesting who knows what's inside , thanks Chigg.
Wow. Chigg, when you're on it, you're on it!
The wren added a nice touch.
Love the video. Cheers from 🇦🇺
You also found long two-prong forks, which makes me suspect that they are from around seventeen to early eighteen hundred because of the model
X-ray it Chiggy!!!
Chigg’s, always enjoy your water mudlarking. The long utensils were very odd. Love the marbles and the keys. X-ray that baby. Take care.👍👏😀
Hi Chigg!! Love the 2 handed fanning method! Move that silt twice as fast! Nice finds sir
Nice old hat pin. You used it for your pointer.
Around 6:20 I kept thinking "when is he going to grab that amber bottle!" Lol!
The video quality was fine. It is a Chinese Duck on the plate. It is a Salad Fork and the Spoon with hole that lets the dressing through. The big blob with the white enamel button and mechanism looks like a Servant's Call Bell. You pull the lever down or pull it out and it rings a bell downstairs or in the kitchen / butler pantry. Popular in the UK in 1800s, Dining rooms in large houses.
Great hunt!! Yes by all means have Lindsey x-ray the glob and let’s see what inside then you can decide to break it open or keep it whole!!
X-ray then rip it apart! Great video and awesome finds! thanks for sharing.
The long-handled forks and spoon are for pickles, the spoon with the slot allows the vinegar to stay in the bottle whilst extracting the item (onion, etc), so it doesn't drip everywhere!
Awesome find chig cant wait to ser what you find in that clump
You're Fanning is never boring sir! 😁
Fun finds
Hi, l think maybe your pointer might be an old hat pin. Definitely take apart ,your blob……. Very interesting…Lyn in Australiaxxx
What a fun video! I can’t wait to see the results of the X-ray! Not sure if it would ruin anything that might be worth saving, but maybe there’s a way to dissolve that ball of jewellery? Vinegar?
Wow, that's pretty cool you even found a spent bullet. What would a hunt be without a bullet or casing of some kind. Cool finds, take care. Cheers. 😊
Casper metal detecting here Like the vid as always...thats my type of hunting! I like getting the occasional bottle and the unusual relics - I found identical pistol "toy" lot of us put those with Cracker Jack toys but believe they are carnival prizes - either way a cool find Continued good luck...Keep it up !
Great video, cool finds , thank you 😎👍
I would x-ray that large rock you have. I think you pulled up a couple of hat pins, but you left them there. They were real long just spikes of something with a jewel on top.
Interesting hunt!
Outstanding video my friend
Greetings: Your conglomerate lump at 18:28 is intriguing. The two “jewels” look like chandelier crystals. If the X-ray shows anything, or not, it would be interesting to see how you might go about taking it apart without destroying what’s inside.
Enjoyed all of it!
Thanks for the video!

Noticed you found a couple of " forks " in the water . Which way did you go after finding them ?

He took the left fork.
Great
What a fantastic video sir. Sure wouldn’t want to step into that area without good foot protection you’d get sliced to bits with all that broken glass and pottery.
Great video
Cool beans! 🫘😊
Have the better half x-ray it, you ninny! Looking forward to the reveal.
Great video Chig
Love your dives!
the lead toy gun is one i liked too,, i find lead toys here ..mainly victorian,, a good era... ive got lead soldiers...horses..sheep..you name it ..even got a lead uboat i found detecting...very cool..and make nice collections
X Ray‼️
The gun is a old cracker jack toy.
The tinklening sound when you fan is quite pleasant.
Awesome finds. 😊
Of course Dr Lindsay will get it x-rayed for you! Trying to recall what you did with that other "blob" that you found last fall? Not sure of when, but most thought it looked like a neat sculpture. I know metal isn't easy to x-ray, but you were able to see the Minie balls stuffed down the barrel. We'll be waiting.
I was able to find that the narrow barbed fork is called a pickle fork, it's for pulling soft goods out of jars, and the wide barbed fork is for leafy foods like salads. I couldnt find much on the spoon though
Xray would be good, I believe that diamonds will show up black on an xray. I think you were right on the spoon being for olives and the two forks are I think for pickles.
COOL!
Cool video buddy! Keep em coming!
Nice finds Chigg!!!
xray it my friend!
I think I would have it x-rayed, it could help in taking it apart too 👍
Looks like fun, never dived into the water to find cool stuff, like coins.

18:36 Jewel of the Nile or should I say Jewel of the 💎Potomac ? Awesome finds.
Yes xray first cause you never know. Great job with out garret at pro .do more of those videos.
Traveled thru Berkeley springs WV before. How cool
Boy, that femur gave me pause! I say break it. My fav was the hatpin pointer. Thanks.
Sitting at the bay in Virginia Beach and I just met one of your friends that has metal detected with you, he confirmed that you’re a really cool guy!
Like you haircut
Olive Spoon fish fork and a pickle fork. Your pointer is a hat pin and that ": clod" should be dropped in occultic acid or molasses and water. That will dissolve it.. What fun can be had with a wet suit and snorkel.
X-ray the clod for sure. Would be interesting to find out what it all consists of.
Been MIA for about a week Chigg. Had eye surgery & this is the first day I can even see anything. Some, but not a lot. There's still a Haze before my eyes, not a Purple one ither. More like a whiter shade of pale. Couldn't qute see all your Treasures, taking antibiotics & steroids via eyedrop. Been healing up some, but still a ways to go to et back to fighting weight. Just to hear a Friendly familiar voice does a Gread deal of good (sorry for any typos)

Dang, glad to hear you are getting better. Anything messing with the eyes is scary. To a speedy recovery!
Definitely x-ray the blob. It woud be really interesting to see how much deciferable detail it shows and just for kicks if you might have free acces to it.
Good video Chigg, we love it from St Louis MO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The long-handled forks and spoon are for pickles. I have one that was my late mother's.
"Let's go snorkeling!!!" Shortly finds the secret fork burial grounds!
