@@laughinghawk8522 Baby beavers that are days old, as Petunia was when she was found alone out in the open, aren't allowed outside of their den/lodge by their parents. The fact that she was out in the open and alone only days old is a sure fire way to know she was either abandoned or something unfortunate happened to her parents and/or their lodge. And considering how healthy Petunia was when she was found, it's not likely she was abandoned. 😔

Folks like you are awesome. You’re the same folks that get mad when a tree service cuts down 3 trees. Plus, you don’t own land that is only underwater because a couple of beavers decided to move in. It’s all good though, only folks with small minds value the lives of animals by cuteness. Wildfires in California are a part of nature as well…..are they okay?

If Heaven (and, thereby, God) were real, maybe they wouldn't allow humans to destroy the ecosystems completely. Which, most likely, is why this fuzzy baby was found alone and parents dead and/or gone. If God was real, they don't deserve any semblance of worship for the atrocities committed every second of every day on this planet. And don't give me the BS, "Well, humans have FREE WILL!" That's a cop-out deflection, and a weak one at that. If you believe in God, you believe in the Divine Plan. If that's the case.....it's a pretty horrific "plan".

It's mind-blowing not to mention hubris when human beings brand any species nuisance or pest!! We are the ONLY nuisance species on this planet.

OMG! The little sounds she makes sounds just like a human baby ❤ 🥰. The coolest thing I ever saw was when I was at a man made pond. There was a beaver dam nearby and the beavers came out to work on their dam. At one point, one of the beavers went out to bring back a log to the dam. Then it did it again but only brought it back part way which confused me. Then I saw him go out WITH A BABY and they pushed it back together. It was teaching the baby!! Cutest thing I’ve ever seen in the wild yet!

Very simple... And sad as well : Beavers have a natural instinct to build Dams so they block the flow of water. In the wild, it's great : they retain water, build wetlands and lakes that helps prevent wild-fires and provides food and water for many species... The problem is that they can't control this urge. The moment they hear the sound of running water it kicks in... Even if said sound comes from a sewer pipe, a rainwater drain or a water sanitiser. Thus, when they come live in urban areas, they block anything that looks or acts like a "drain" and cause big damage by flooding people's homes.

Well they are very cute. But they destroy habitats in some cases. The dams they create can be extremely problematic especially for farmers.

I wish people would understand that the Beaver is a vital cog in the wheel of a healthy ecosystem… If removed then that ecosystem will fail and take twice as long to repair itself. But they can only repair once the beaver has been replaced back within that ecosystem. When will people learn.. It’s heartbreaking, but such a huge thank you to you all for not just saving Petunia, but for giving Her a wonderful home, so she can grow and learn what it’s like to be the cutest beaver in town. I know she’s a wild animal and my adult mind knows that they should live independent and free but this video made my heart yearn. I want one sooo bad.
