yeah, really sad that nowaday bossa just gets assosiated with elevator-music. real bossa is so deep and groovy and jazzy!

You need to explain that you are changing the 2-3/3-2 direction of the clave in your examples!

Tip: For people who already got this, try to do the same beat but instead of your right hand (ride cymbol) playing 8th notess. Play quarter notes!! :)

It's actually an 18" K Custom Dark Crash that I have hand hammered to give it a darker trashier sound. It was kinda like my first tattoo though - I don't mind it, but I wish I had have left it alone and kept it original!

***** agora entendi, mas na verdade eu quis dizer com meu comentário que ele parece brasileiro tocando bossa nova, porquê já vi muitos vídeos de estrangeiros tentando tocar e o resultado ficou terrível, mas nesse caso ficou perfeito.

I love your videos its very clean and instructional ; ) could you do one on sitting posture? I've been having problems with height and distance from the pedals to get the maximum srength out of my performance for heel up playing ; ( and i've been playing for almost 30 yrs now, was wondering if it was just me or my technique as i get older.

Good, but leave the attitude. You'll become a way better drummer if you're not that easily pleased by your own playing and keep practicing.

The problem with Expert Village is that there isn't a single expert on there! Or at least, no-one that's an expert in what they're trying to teach. They could all be outstanding elephant tamers behind closed doors, but decided to try and teach drums instead...

Cool, keep going and youll be great. You may do this but you can do your own thing like beats, fills and all that other stuff and listening to your favorite drummers allot and listening close, i got real good by myself mainly. Also i recomend doing what i do like doing beats and mental drumming in your head if you dont already so you can get an idea of what it might sound like on drums and work with that. But dont forget about learning basic beats and stuff to so you have a base to create music and other beats and styles and have more fun
