Love your video! I had a 2008 Tundra with a Boss 7.5’ Poly Standard Duty, and the tundra handled that plow exceptionally well. My only mistake was selling it when I bought my 2021. I’m interested in getting another Tundra and putting a Boss HTX V-plow on it, and I’d love to see some more videos and hear your thoughts about this particular plow, especially since you’ve done a full season with it already. I’d also love to hear more updates as time goes on. Keep up the good work!

Great video! Well produced and very informative. When my family all gets together, the driveway looks like a used Toyota lot. When I needed a plow, I hit a Ram…have had regrets and rust since the 2nd year! I will more seriously consider plowing with a Tundra after seeing this! Thanks

Thank you! Oh what a view of that driveway you have there! RAMs are quite a beast for plowing as well, heavy duty indeed. The Tundra is smooth when it comes to getting the work done. My pleasure!

I will be using this just to move some snow around for my small business. The actual snow removal guy will be doing majority of the work....I would just be clearing a path for my customers to get in and out of my hotel parking lots. Just wondering you opinion of the performance of the snow plow as I want to get the exact same snow plow! Your input is appreciated and very valuable to me in joining the Tundra Community!

This plow will do more than enough for you! Especially the V-Plow it’s very efficient in commercial lots, a lot more freedom to move around, pushes snow at ease!

I haven’t thought about making a one year mark video, we haven’t been getting much snow this season. It wouldn’t be an accurate representation of one year at work with the truck and plow. Not much wear and tear besides regular maintenance, and tires wear.

hi kelvin, congratulations on making the smart decision by not buying north american junk trucks like I did...I purchased a 2018 ford 250 for snow clearing ( a company with the highest number of recalls in the automotive business I later found out ) and Ive regretted it since< EVERYONE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! until they clean up their act which they've had 40 years to do but still no change, I'll never purchase Ford again only Toyota...another good choice you've made is not buying a western plow, I have an MVP used one winter and one of the grease fittings ( pressed in not threaded in like it should be has fallen out, I'm going to have to take it apart in the spring and tap a new hole to install a threaded grease fitting ( by the way the dealers will not forward any common sense permanent fixes for this and the defective harness onto western ( snow plow mafia some call them ) because they want the warranty repair money so its a loss loss for consumers, if you have a dealer pushing western plows on you this is why, they're thinking of looking after themselves $$$ not you...

I don't know Canada laws but in the states, you can't have both the truck and plow headlights on at the same time.

The law says that you're only allowed 4 lighting elements on the front of a passenger vehicle. So each low beam counts as 1 and each high beam as 1 as well for a total of 4. You're doubling that with the plow lights. This is also the reason you will see most cars turn off their fog lights when their highbeams come on. I'm guessing the rational of the law is that you don't want someone with tons of lights on their vehicle blinding other drivers. In the case of the plow, when it's raised the truck lights bounce off the plow and make it harder for the driver to see.

I was told from another Tundra/BOSS plow owner to disable the LTA, PCS and the other sensor from the dash and on the left side of the steering wheel. You might have to disable it every time you start the car or reenable the functions.

There is a button on the left side console by heated steering wheel that has a collision stop button. I had to disable that for trailers or it brakes every 2 feet backing up. I wonder if that is your issue?? I am just giving a suggestion. @TimDavid-ey4dy

I have sort of found a solution. I unplug 4 plugs that are easy to get too. It disables all the sensors in the front. It will set off a bunch of codes tho. But makes using the plow possible. When I take the plow off. I have Carista and just clear the codes myself. Eventually I’ll find someone willing with the software to turn the sensors off completely. I've been plowing for 15+ yrs. This truck has no issues doing it. I only do a few family and friends driveways. So I’m not beating on it.
