Great demo! I like that glitchy sound it makes when you play over the feedback at 2:08 and 3:35. I want to hear how that sounds with wah or phaser or delay or ALL OF THEM AT THE SAME TIME.

Definitely one of my favorite Boss pedals. It's just a good all-purpose distortion with that fun feedbacker effect. From blues to metal, it gets the job done with a good ballsy rich tone and a nice eq on it. But if you want even more versatility with similar tones (but no feedbacker) I would recommend the SD-2 Dual Overdrive pedal. That one is just phenomenal for all around versatility and lovely overdrive and distortion tones.

@@lanayajordyn9950 yes exactly. Sucks that there's no wire to connect the battery. You got it used? His pedal was not malfunctioning, though. Step on it for distortion, hold your foot on it to get the feedback. Take foot off and distortion stays. Step on it again to deactivate pedal and go clean. I assumed he bought it really cheap cause the seller wasn't really sure how to use it properly. This video demonstrates it really well. Hope yours works fine ! Cheers

2:08 somehow, not a single other person demoing this pedal on youtube thought to do this. i can see everyone else was shocked as well since it's the most watched part o the video. but it's definitely more interesting than just leaving it on a single note. i'd been wondering what happened if you started playing new notes once the feedbacker was active

I absolutely agree with Convisis, Kayzer I know what I am about to say sounds bad but its a compliment believe me, the band you currently play in... is not good, your talent is completely unused, the band sounds very generic, its just average metal with typical screaming on top of it. The riffs you create with delay, fuzz etc. effects are really weird and awesome, they sound "new". In my taste you are kinda like a heavier/more brutal version of "Tool".

I actually really like the DF-2 as a distortion pedal. the feedback, however? It's a fun toy to play around with... that's about it. Unless you're an 'edgy' 13 year old with dreams of making it big with your 'revolutionary' and 'innovative' post-noisecore guitar abuse that sounds like someone lobotomized sonic youth and then gave them their guitars back... ...Too much? Well, that's what I think of the feedbacker. It's a good distortion pedal, though.
