This is OST. A real story of female sniper. Lyudmila Mikhailovna Pavlichenko[a] (née Belova; July 12, 1916 - October 10, 1974) was a Red Army Soviet sniper during World War II.[1] Credited with 309 kills, she is regarded as one of the top military snipers of all time[2] and the most successful female sniper in history.

The song is very "powerful" and the interpretation of Polina Gagarin is very, very good! WWII history is too "Americanized" and the decisive force that defeated Nazism was Russia, which is too little known, and this fact too often and too much ... "shapes"! . The video clip is from a movie based on the real person. a woman, who was a sniper and killed more than 300 Nazis. My congratulations on the reaction and the commentary. I apologize for the poor knowledge of English. Greetings from Croatia!

The fact that you know about the importance of Russia in the World War Second makes me really happy. Don't get me wrong, but it annoys me so much that most of Americans and Europeans don't know how many Russian people were killed in this war. I don't mean to offend anyone, but it's how it is. My great grandfathers and my great grandmother were killed in 1994. They fight and died for my freedom. And I swear I don't know anyone from Russia, who's family didn't lose someone. Every year at May 9 everyone in Russia goes out to the streets with the photos of their dead relatives. We remember those who is gone and thank those who are still alive. The World War 2 was the biggest tragedy for Russian nation.

During the Second World War, both men and women and teenagers and children from USSR fought. women were snipers, doctors, partisans. Teenagers forged documents raising their age and went to war because the country needed everyone. they were mostly partisans or saboteurs. the children stayed in the cities and helped the rest of them to throw burning shells thrown from the airplanes from the roofs of the houses so that the houses would not get sunburned. Citizens hid and lived in the subway, if it was in the cities. Her name is Lyudmila Pavlichenko. The most successful female sniper in world history - 309 killed nazi soldiers and officers, but her result in some experts is in doubt. With the filing of American journalists, she received the nickname "Lady Death". However, this nickname was used exclusively by the American and European press. In the USSR, the image of the hero, the defender of the fatherland, in the minds and hearts of citizens was not perceived as a murderer, sowing death. On the contrary, the heroism of the young woman, her feat, was for Soviet people a model of selflessness and selfless love of the Motherland. Thanks for watching and feeling it...

Of course it's a movie. The movie was created on real-life events - "Battle of Sevastopol" during the Second World War. The film tells of the tragedy and heroism of the Russians in the war with the Germans. The film also tells of the best sniper of all time in the world - this sniper is a woman, she is very young just going to university when the World War II begins. Because she fired very precisely, she was mobilized as a sniper and sent to the front fighters fighting with Russian men.

DO THE RUSSIANS WANT WAR? ‎ O, do the Russians long for war? Ask of the stillness evermore, Ask of the field, or ask the breeze, And ask the birch and poplar trees. ‎ Ask of the soldiers who now lie Beneath the birch trees and the sky, And let their sons tell you once more Whether the Russians long Whether the Russians long Whether the Russians long for war. ‎ Not only at their country's call Did Russian soldiers fight and fall; They died that men from ev'ry shore Might live without the fear of war. ‎ Ask those who fought, and those erased, Ask those who at the Elbe you embraced. These monuments are only for To show if Russians long To show if Russians long To show if Russians long for war. ‎ Yes, we can fight when fight we must; Be we don't wish to breathe the dust Of soldiers brave from ev'ry clime Who give up life before their time. ‎ Ask of the women in our life, Ask of our mothers - ask my wife - And you will never wonder more Whether the Russians long Whether the Russians long Whether the Russians long for war. ‎ Their answer rises loud and clear For all men, ev'rywhere, to hear. The message now is as before: The Russians do not long The Russians do not long The Russians do not long for war.‎ 1961

Songs of mine that I've yet to write. How many? Tell me cuckoo, count them for me. The city or the village - where am I to live? To lie as a stone, Or burn as a star, a star? Sunlight of mine, glance now on me. See my palm has turned to a fist. And if you have powder, give me a spark. That's that. Who will now take the lonely path? The strong and the brave Have laid down their heads in battle, in the fields. Few now remain in memory, with a clear mind, And a firm hand, in the ranks. Our ranks. Sunlight of mine, glance now on me. See me palm has turned to a fist. And if you have powder, give me a spark. That's that. Where are you now, freedom of will? With who are you now Greeting the tender sunrise? Answer me. Life is good with you, and bad without. My patient head And submissive shoulders, under the lash. The lash. Sunlight of mine, glance now at me. See my palm has turned to a fist. And if you have powder, give me a spark. Polina is gorgeous and this song by russian rock musician Viktor Tsoi is very suitable for her, considering that this song has become the soundtrack for the film “Battle for Sevastopol” - about the most famous woman sniper of the USSR - Lyudmila Pavlichenko, about war and life in war. 24smi.org/celebrity/6048-liudmila-pavlichenko.html If you do not forget the context of the film, then this song is like the cry of the soul of a woman from whom the war selects loved ones and the best years. Polina gave it all very well. Cackoo Songs that are yet to be written, how many? Tell me, cuckoo, sing it out loud City should I dwell in or suburbia Lie as a stone or burn as the brightest star? A star. Light of my sun - take a look at your work You’ll see my hand curling into a fist And if there is gunpowder, give me a spark So it goes. Who will trace these steps bred of loneliness The strong and the brave Having all being lost, in battle In death... Few of us remain who remember still Few who are sane and whose hand won’t falter On the sword Light of my sun - take a look at your work You’ll see my hand making a fist And if there is gunpowder give me a spark So it goes. Where is it you got to, my own free will? Who gets to greet this gentle sunrise with you? Tell me! Happy was I with you but distraught without Bowing my head, letting my back get lashed Get lashed…. Light of my sun - take a look at your work You’ll see my hand making a fist And if there is gunpowder give me a spark So it goes.

Can"t find that move with eng subs. It was made few years before ukrainians and russians became different nations. I think its forbidden in free democratic countries now. Cause no one have questions "why crimea is russia" ater seen that. I'd found turkish translation only. ari.video.az/movie/sivastopol-icin-savas-bitva-za-sevastopol-2015-hdrip-9760?locale=en Also that song was written by one of greatest russian poets Viktor Tsoy in '80s I dont like him so much but the spray on the walls still talks that "TSOY IS ALIVE" after 28 years he crashed.

Shouldn't you add that in USSR were some other countries beside Russia( 15 )

Just note. The total losses of the Soviet troops over the entire period of the defense of Sevastopol (Crimea) from October 30, 1941 to the beginning of July 1942 amounted to 200,481 people. The loss of Sevastopol led to a deterioration in the situation of the Red Army and allowed German troops to continue the offensive to the Volga and the Caucasus. More than a hundred thousandth group was lost, located on a strategically important sector of the front. Soviet aviation could no longer threaten the Romanian oil fields in Ploiesti, the Soviet fleet lost the ability to act on enemy communications in the northern and northwestern parts of the Black Sea. In addition to the battle-hardened fighters of the Primorsky Army, skilled personnel from among the inhabitants of the fortified city were lost. Sevastopol was liberated on May 9, 1944, exactly one year before the end of the war.

Do you know that she was a REAL one? Her name Ludmila Pavlichenko, she was a sniper and she killed more than 300 fascist officers... And she was a member of peaceful delegation of Soviet Union in USA, and they became good friends with the wife of the President of the United States (Eleanor Roosevelt). After her speech in Congress, senators unanimously voted to join the war against Hitler Germany... She said: "I am twenty five years old. At the front, I had already managed to destroy three hundred and nine fascist invaders. Do you think, gentlemen, that you have been hiding behind my back too long ?" And yes, when she entered real war, she was 23 years old! And YES - ALL our families have a DEADS on this war ... ((( Everybody have a fathers, grandpas, brothers and etc. , who was died on this war!
