Bosnian Moslem families have started to return to their homes in the central Bosnian town of Donji Vakuf, which had been under Bosnian Serb control until earlier this week.
To their dismay, they are finding a landscape of destruction.
It was a time of celebration. Victorious troops rolled through the town of Donji Vakuf, one of the central Bosnian towns Bosnian government forces regained earlier this week.
But for others the happiness of the occasion was dampened when they discovered the condition of their former homes.
Most of the houses in the town have been damaged or destroyed in recent fighting.
But these Muslim families are lucky- Red Cross officials said Thursday that about 8-thousand Muslims are missing from Srebrenica, the first U-N. "safe area" overrun by Bosnian Serb troops in July.
Muslim survivors have accused the Serbs of widespread war crimes, including mass killings of civilians and rapes.
