Bose L1 Pro32 Review - Ivy & the Wall

Музыка

In between recording sessions for our new album, we’ve fallen hard for all things Bose this year and are thrilled to have been chosen as ambassadors for this incredible company while we gear up for live performances again!
Here’s a sneak peak of us geeking out about the new L1 Pro 32 we’ve added to our arsenal (and also a little new-song-ear-nugget for you).
Xoxo,
Jonathan & Cassandra

Great demo and love your music. Do you use the on board mixer or one of the external tone match mixers?

Thanks! We use both, actually - depending on the gig. The onboard mixer is fantastic, especially used with the L1 Mix App + Tonematch presets. The app has a huge library of mic/guitar specific presets that can take it to the next level. If extra channels or EQ & effects options are needed, our external Tonematch T8S mixer crushes it.

@@ivyandthewall9136 thanks for the quick reply. If only the Bose app would allow the T8S and on board pro mixer to behave as one unit, that would be awesome. Keep up the great work.

@@madness8556 Yeah that would be great - I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen in future product lines.

@@ivyandthewall9136 I'm more than certain that Bose could somehow allow this, or incorporate a T4S or even T8S into the top of the subwoofer of their next range of L series products. To be honest, they should have included at least 4 combo mic inputs into the L1 32.

I see ATC and Barefoot monitors in that studio. How would the Pro32 compare for playback?

Thanks for the question! Even though this is shot in the studio, the Pro32 is really designed for live sound reinforcement, so it would be comparing apples and oranges. For live events - especially with a small footprint - you can't go wrong with the Bose L1 Pro line.

Hey. Bose are good for church use etc. Just sufficient for DJ use. Since, we are used to double 18 inch subs even for small events.. which is overkill.. for under 500 audience events.. Bose systems do wonders.. In the end, it's all about what you are trying to do.

Nice music but it costs 3,500eur here in Europe for 1 (mono) system 7k for 2 and wouldn't last 5 minutes at an Irish wedding, gimme a going nowhere steel pole on a heavy ballast speaker where the guest is gonna feel it the next day if he falls on it, not the speaker, even the bass unit's centre of gravity is way too high. Great for a high end acoustic cafe but far too delicate for Wedding crowds in my humble experience. Keep rockin guys 👍🏻
