Do you feel, as a full time gigging musician, that the 32's were necessary? Or do you think that you could be using the 16's just as easily? I need to get one of these systems and I'm struggling jumping up in price point to the 32's if they are considered over-kill for a solo-acoustic performer!

@@FreddieWalton I think the pro 16 is a great PA and would be fine for what I do... but there have been times when the venue is so loud even the pro 32 could not be heard... I was playing at a wedding after rehearsal party where 200 people showed up in this low ceiling narrow room with an open bar... tough gig... my favourite weekly gig is on a quiet classy tiki torch patio on the water where the sound does not bounce off walls and it is so clear and wonderful to hear such a sweet PA... I have a friend who plays there as well and he has the pro 8 and he sounds amazing... just gotta match the PA with what you do...AND how much you want to carry in.... I fit my Pro 32, my pedal board and guitar (with bungee cords) all on one cart... I love the 32 it was worth the extra $ for me.... this is my little business and I treat it with the mentality that I want the best gear as it sounds better than my competition and it has resulted in more gigs.

@@darylstevenett1 thanks for the response! I actually ended up buying the 32 yesterday! Excited to play with it! But I do agree. I’m gigging upwards of 15-20 times a month. It feels good to have what I need

Not sure what to think about Bose sticks... I had a L1M2B2 for 2 years and loved it...handled every room like a champ. But I never once sat in the audience of someone using one of the bose sticks and didn't think it sounded thin...couldn't wrap my finger around it and hoped they were just eq'ing differently than me.. Heard a pro 16 and was floored by the tone..gotta hear one live in a busy room though. Overall, they are excellent portable options.

Hello, in the pro16, what system eq do you use?

How did the first artist suddenly switch on the reverb effect? When she spoke there was none, but when she started singing there was reverb. How did she control that on the unit, without doing anything I could see??

I believe system has smartphone app that can control that and someone else did that remotely

@@maxxleonard9399 Yes, I thought the same. It gives a false impression of what you can do with the system. I have the L1II and its always been a pain that there is no way to switch the effects off simply, when talking to your audience between songs. I can't believe the amount of pa and small amp manufacturers who overlook this crucial feature.

As mentioned above, reverb can be muted remotely via the L1 Mix app. If the performer controls their own mix via phone or tablet nearby, they can simply press and hold "REVERB" to mute/unmute. These performances had a dedicated sound engineer that was able to do this for the performers.

@@BoseProfessional Thanks for the explanation. I've used the L1II and Tonematch mixer for many years, and being now able to control the effects remotely - albeit via an app - is a very welcome edition. An ability to do this 'old school' via a foot switch would be the the most practical as most folks who use an ipad or such on stage for music or lyrics, will have to flip between apps to switch any vocal effects of between songs when talking, and that can be a bit distracting for an audience. So, all my vocal effects are on a pedal board, and bypass the Tonematch mixer. . Bose is not the only company who have missed the opportunity to put an external on / off foot switch capability into their equipment designed for smaller gigs. It's not a dealbreaker given all the other advantages the Bose systems provide, its more of a niggle about an oversight regarding the practicalities of a working musician / end user in a live gig situation. If I understand it correctly, with the app I can now walk out into the room and listen to a loop of my performance and the mix and eq to the room I'm in. Now that is a real upgrade. So even with it's quirks, the Bose L1II with two subs is still one of the best pa's I've ever owned, and have never felt the need to replace it, and it has served me faithfully through hundreds of gigs. The advantages of Bose systems far outweigh any of these smaller issues I may have. I'm really looking forward to trying these latest models. Thanks.
