Worth videoing yourself doing this , so that you can spot if you did anything wrong , or different .

There's no need to take it all apart, If you just take the side panel off and loosen the sump you could squeeze it out.

Will a faulty thermistor prevent circ pump from running? I have a Bosch Dishwasher SHX43C05UC/50. I had a circ pump motor burn up in mid cycle. I have replaced motor and it fills but no circ pump however I can hear it clicking when it is time to cycle on.

Yea brother!!! It took you so long !!! But you saved yourself $500 bucks easy.

Mine came out a lot easier than that.. Simply turn the machine upside down. The bottom panel came off and the thermostat is hidden on the top side of the element housing .. There is just enough give on the hoses to be able to remove it without disconnecting anything. A pity the didnt design the housing so the thermostat is easier to get to.!!! As far as testing it with a meter goes, forget it.. Test for continuity and short circuit on the element. If its ok, just change the thermostat before further investigation and dismantling of these machines.. My thermostat gave the same readings on the old as the new yet once I fitted the new one, it warmed up and went through a whole cycle as it should, heating the water and drying at the right times.. My rule, If the element tests out ok, fit a new thermostat ...

What model bosch dishwasher this part for? I have a SHE4AP02UC/06. repair clinic does show the compatibility model for this part.

Sam Lee This is model SHE43RL6UC64. Your model does not have a heating element in the sump housing so there is no thermistor.

So let me get this straight. Dismantle the whole dishwasher, take the front and sides off, disconnect every wire just to replace 1 part that can be accessed from the side? Are you trying to put people off?

Hi. I left a similar comment with the video on how to change the heat exchanger. I ordered both the heat exchanger and this thermistor for my Bosch dishwasher last night. I would like to know where I can find a wire diagram for the thermistor so I can check just my old thermistor to see if it is the only defective part. I can see from this video that the thermistor appears to have two higher power red lines going to it, as well as three assumed sense lines (with a blue and orange tied together). How much power does the thermistor require, and what is the output range? Is there a downloadable spec sheet available? Thank you for your help. If I can just replace one of the components, rather than both the heat exchanger AND the thermistor, I would be happy.

We do not have the specs on the thermistor. The best tip we can recommend is that when you order the thermistor, you can check the ohm readings with a meter and compare it to the one on your dishwasher. Look for a tech sheet folded and stored in a hole at the front of the base assembly; this may be helpful.

Wow, worst design ever. Sensor is something can be easily broken and need to be replaced after some time; but Bosch engineer hide it so deeply. I intend to replace the thermo myself, but after watching this video, better to call outside services.

This is a crappy dishwasher no one wants fix these cause of all things you have to do to get access
