Thank you for the review. I went to one store and the guy said: oh, I don’t know about Bausch, it’s not my favorite, then he started showing me GE’s including GE cofe saying how good is this fridge. I mentioned to him, I read many bad reviews. To make a long story short, my Aplience repair guy started laughing, when I told him this. I still didn’t buy anything yet, we are waiting to remodel our kitchen. I would get a subzero if money is not an issue, Bausch is next on my list. I didn’t know about black stainless steel option.

I have the same fridge and overall it has been great. One thing you didn’t mention is that it actually has 2 compressors, 1 for the refrigerator and 1 for the freezer. That is why is performs so much better and preserves food much longer than in other brands. Most have 1 compressor that freezes the freezer then that cold air is blown into the refrigerator. Having separate thermostats and compressors simply works better. How long did you wait to startup you fridge after moving/installing it? It is best to move it in place then wait 24 hours before you plug it in and never lay one down on its side when transporting. There is no way to know how the place you bought it from handled it so to be safe wait 24 hours to ensure all oil has returned to the compressors. I waited 24 hours after installing my and it is whisper quiet. I have had a issue with the ice cubes freezing into a big block of ice. Our food last 2 to 3 times longer than in previous refrigerators. I’m 31 year HVAC contractor so have a good understanding of refrigeration, which is why I bought the Bosch after a lot of research.

Hi how are you. Just bought this fridge, and the delivery guys that brought it to my place had it standing on its side during transport, aldo is says in the box to only transport it on the back if it will be laying down. Had it in my house for 24 h, didnt turn it on yet, is there a problem if it has beed transported laying on its side!? I can still return it. Thank you

@@BradPavlovski , if you’ve had it standing and off for 24 hours you should be okay. Laying on back verses the sides is probably to reduce risk of damage to the exposed sides and edges of doors when installed. Main thing is to ensure oil has ran back into the crankcase of the compressors before plugging it in.

Thank you! Check out 1:40. Turn it up with headphones and you can hear the compressor. With rug under it, there is no noticeable noise. 😃

NO NOISE ON MINE - MAYBE THE BUILT-IN CABINET CABINETS SHIELDS IT.

How bad is the noise? I have an open floorplan and want the quietest fridge for movie watching in the living room in front of the kitchen. Was reading that this is the quietest fridge and was debating on returning my LG LRFVC2406S for this Bosch. The LG is quieter than my old fridge but makes a higher pitch sound with the compressor that is a bit annoying. Though based on your noise complaint I’m not sure I’d get much of an improvement with this fridge?

I also have an open floor plan with kitchen/dinning/living room all in one. I hardly notice it after putting the rug under it. Most all refrigerators have the same style of low start RPM compressors and will make a similar noise. Let me know what you decide to do!

I have a couple questions Sir, 1) You state the model number is B36CT81SNS but the title of the video says B36CT80SNB. Please clarify so I purchase the correct model number. 2) Where can I purchase the calming rug? Overall this review was riveting and I loved watching all 8 minutes. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the correction! The model in the video is 80SNB, the version with pro style handles is 81SNS. The rug is a classic Walmart special purchased in 2015. 😉

You’re welcome! No issues or complaints whatsoever! I don’t seal the main drawer in the center. That’s my only complaint overall, how they made that drawer compared to my first model.

Loving my but last time you bought appliances it was 20 years ago and I thought I was buying top line and they all turned out to be junk. Got the house functional but nothing near what I expected. Trying to figure out consistency with ice and drying out freezer a bit too much. Not a problem I’ve ever had before so not sure even how to ask. I don’t want to complicate it with iPhone. Maybe I should?

Random question - where is the freezer light? Mine hasn’t worked since I bought it 2 years ago & I actually thought it didn’t have one. I had a door replaced after initial install so am wondering if it had to do with that. If somethings missing?

Guess what MasterCook a brand by Fagor and is out of business was the first to have dual compressors and electronic controls Bosch in their advert of this fridge pretends their the only brand to have invented dual compressors and being honest it is super frustrating.

Mine is similar but within 16 months the ice maker went out. Nothing obvious so a service tech is going to come out and fix it. Sure it won’t be cheap and have to question the quality at 16 months.

Did you have trouble with the water dispenser leaking? I just unboxed mine tonight and we filled 4 cups of water and the dispenser would leak afterward.

I did when it was brand new. It’s normal to dribble a bit on first few uses. Since then, I have no leaks!

How’s the fridge doing? Still working? Any issues? I’m thinking about buying this model or a similar Bosch.

Do the handles on yours curve out a little bit? They look straight but this model online looks to have less modern handles that bow out slightly.

They’re straight in direction, however the outward facing side does have a slight curve design. It’s comfortable to open and close. Bosch sells pro style round handles for this model. If you’re looking for a block style, check out the Fisher & Paykel RF170ADUSB5. I preferred Bosch smooth sounding door close mechanism, along with a non weighted door.

@@icarlson1234 I saw a similar F&P on display. The floor model was making strange noises, kinda turned me off right away along with cheap sounding hinge. It’s a premium shine, not cheesy looking Samsung. Theirs has a grain look, but also very shinny and a magnet for fingerprints & dust.

Not long at all, I’d say less than 90 mins. The fridge and freezer have Independent compressors. It’s an impressive unit!
