I’ll watch anything about Marc Bolan and this is fantastic. I can’t believe how great the T~Rex sound was and I can’t believe they’re not more well known these days I listen to them a couple times a week still. Kudos to his son, great job!

The Warrior His spirit came his spirit has gone But with Marc Bolan, you can still Get It On T.rex they came and hit the scene You should have heard, those girls scream With his corkscrew hair and people so fair He’d strut on the stage without worry or care He knew just how to get into your mind He’d bump and grind he was one of a kind He’d caress you with his Persian glove As he sang those words of hot Hot Love He’d Ride A White Swan over Crimson Moon Tickle your fancy with Venus Loon Gave all he got, he gave it to you Rock On, Hang Ups, and Cadilac too All knew who was, was the Main man With Rip Off, Slider, and Tanx in a can Bill Legend, Steve Currie, Mickey Finn Bumping and grinding from deep within Satin jacket trousers, glitter under the eyes I Love To Boogie with screams and cries His B sides were good, as good as the A’s Jeepster was part of the Glam Rock phase Went to New York City he was The Groover With Telegram Sam Marc was a mover To some, it came as no great surprise How this 20th Century Boy he did rise Electric Warrior L.P. was pure bliss Marc Bolan the Warrior we do miss. Thanks for the comments everyone... I directed it and it was part of a multi award winning DVD release called 'Born to Boogie'... reminding people of that crazy film but more importantly we found all the original footage including two full concerts which had never been seen before. Ringo Starr called to say he had the old film footage in a garage - we not only saved that footage but we restored it and gave it to the BFI where it is now kept for future generations. Those full concerts were on the DVD along with a tonne of extra material including I think 4 documentaries (we have been fighting to get it re released online). Some of the docos have been on TV around the world but oddly not in the UK. I want to direct you all to what Gloria Jones is doing now (Marc's partner, Rolan's mum) who runs a school of Music & Film in Marc's name in Sierra Leone. She needs help - see this short I made to promote her work: facebook.com/marcbolanschool/videos/897852964957394

Awesome tribute, thanks for the upload! And how wonderful hearing Rolan talking about his father, so sad he never got to know him. I was in high school when Marc passed away. Can't believe how many years ago it's been. I would LOVE to see what music he'd be making if he were still with us. He was the creator of Glam IMO. RIP Marc! 🕊🌹

My parents had bought a new record player and a variety LP's in the 60's....one of those records was T-Rex. I was around 10 yrs old but I remember listening to that album over and over again especially the song Debora as that is my name. I couldn't believe he died so young. His music will be remembered and played to the end of time. ❤❤❤

Somehow I missed it when it happened. Then suddenly, just a few yrs ago I discovered T Rex? AND feel in love with Marc Bolan. VERY sad to find out he died at young age. It does sound though as if we haven't heard the last of his story.

Ride a White Swan reminds me of Billy Elliott movie and Get It On reminds me Top Gun Maverick plus numerous other movies his music is used in. What a treasure to leave us with. Always leave a little Marc in your heart. ❤️🎶🪽☮️ Rolan is justifiably proud of his father and so are his fans.

Anyone who understands and appreciates true musical artistry will know that Marc Bolan was no musical genius...he was barely a musical journeymen. What he was? A hyped, concoction of the British press and fanzine press. T.Rex's base were like 12-14 year old girls...the type who go to "shows" to scream and wet themselves with their friends. Check out the lyrics to the T.Rex "masterpieces"... paper-thin. To waste anymore words on T.Rex being some sort of musical touchstone is idiotic.
