My beautiful daughter was born with Microtia Grade 3. Seeing mom and grandma cry when talking about Microtia touches me. I feel the same. It’s still hard.

Hola, yo nací igual como la niña, mi madre me llevaba para la operacion pero de repente no se que paso.... No me opere en nada y hoy soy muy feliz tengo dos hijos y un esposo que me aceptó tal como soy y no me importa que me humille así Dios me mando al mundo y ahora me dedico a cantar y pronto llegare en alto... Estaba estudiando Derecho pero no termine a causa de no escuchar nada se sufre mucho y soy feliz con mis hijos y Dios nunca me dejara sola ... Animo a todos.....

I was born with Both Microtia and Atresia in one ear, I never let it define who I was, at first I had long hair to cover from when I was 3 till early adulthood then about after that I just wasn’t scared anymore so I fully shaved and cut my hair very short and decided this does not define me anymore

Could atresia and microtia be detected when usg were taken during pregnancy?

in my baby's case it wasn't detected during pregnancy:"( I had a fetomaternal ultrasound and 3 4D ultrasounds with 2 different doctors and they both didn't mention anything about my baby's ear. they even wrote on the report "no anomalies/abnormalities were found". I'm so upset and heartbroken😢

I am 63 years old and I was born with the same atresia and microtia and there wasn't anything done for me half deaf all my life this is wonderful to see!!!😊🙌💜

@@katherinep708 I did I had to sit in the front right side they sat in alphabetical order but I messed that up I had to asked to repeat what people says to this Day I say huh? Alot and it gets on peoples nerves my Dad is 89 and still gets upset at me cause I don't understand I got teased to until I got older and then a word opened up to be me!! I got 13 piercing in my good ear and 10 in my deformed ear to match lengths lol

@@katherinep708 Depends very much on the environment. At my work which is very noisy and I wear a headset, I do have issues. At school, not so much unless the classroom is really noisy. In the early years, especially if the kid is young, learning how to adapt and communicate any issues on their own is very important. I would recommend letting them let you know about any problems when they come up because sometimes parents (with all their good intentions of course) will put in extra accommodations for the child which could single them out in front of their peers when they would be able to figure things out when discovering their limits individually. My best advice would be to allow your child to navigate their reality knowing that you'd be able to help if needed :) Any more questions? Don't feel shy to ask anything

Nothing to do right now.. after 4 years possible to ear transplantation surgery. I dont know the cost details.
