    @@jamesacooke32 Not automatically- It can be, if misused to disguise a total lack of plan. Patriotism, in combination with accusing "the other side" (in this case the EU, or migrants in general) leads (all to often) to nationalism. Take a look at the comment sections of Brexit videos on this very platform, and you will see quite a number of nationalist, and even fascist comments. The increase of hate crimes, due to the "take our country back" rethoric can't be denied, even if Michael Gove tried to do so.

    Fantastic speech, but, what is this obsession about London and the South East being so much more recognised than other parts. I have lived both in Liverpool and the South East and I personally think that there are worse services here in the South East than up North. Annoys me quite a lot.

    @@MrEdwardmarlowe It was the dire straits of the economy and other factors that triggered the "I'm Backing Britain" campaign. The campaign may have been short lived in the scheme of things (such as working extra unpaid hours) but the willingness of the British people was there...not cowed or bowed and we shall do so again. The whining needs to stop.

    @@cmvalim2778 Perhaps not comparable Craig, but with the tories you never know. No, I don't support labour or any other party. I voted leave, but as I'm in my 60's hoped there would be some kind of deal. That was perhaps naive of me really I know. I think it will be no deal, but of course a deal wasn't offered when we voted just leave or remain. It will be interesting to see the final outcome of it all.

    Ewerything ok, but boris is to short to deliver all that he is promising. No deal brexit - yah, coz we are proud people, in two months yall be crying. Im not sure what brexit scenario is the best in long term, but deffinately what is going now is downhill to disaster, with no mechanisms created for uk to work as independent as they wish for. Last two years was a debate how to do a soft brexit, and country wasnt preparing for actuall Brexit... now it will all have to done in 2-3 months, because boris isnt into negotiation, just hard split, and thats not enought time. One word to describe it after hard brexit - haos.

    @Day 1 drill If you think majority means England and Wales population then you have no right to speak of democracy. Democracy applies to a country voting, not a nation of 4 countries with one of them leading with 70 million people. Scotland and N.Ireland voted remain and I dont care what kind of stupid union excuse you give. It's undemocratic to ignore two whole countries in favour of a broken union that is dominated by English votes.

    @Barbaro Family I am absolutely sick of people saying we are a union so we need to abide by England's vote based on that. It doesn't matter if all votes are added up as England the majority population. This is my whole point that no one seems to understand, it's a terrible system when you put 4 countries under one umbrella and then add up all the votes together when one of the countries has like three times the population of Wales, Scotland and N.Ireland put together. I dont care about England. I care about my own countries democracy and our votes, which seem to be getting ignored in favour of a broken union and people are fine with that..

    I'm visiting the UK this friday. Hopefully when the remainers see non eu citizens reflecting their governments willingness to trade and enter dialogue with Britain they will tone down the project fear. Australia (my country) alone could solve much of the UKs agricultural and fuel issues post brexit. There are even rumors of a freedom of trade and movement between the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

    @@boss-anova Right. And as far as the referendum was concerned neither is Scotland or NI or England or Wales. It was a UK One Person One Vote referendum. How regions, counties or local villages voted doesn't matter and you are peddling a total falsehood to suit your own remain agenda. if they want to leave the UK they can. But I bet they never will and certainly never to join the EU. The people of Scotland and NI are wiser folks as they proved in 2014 in Scotland by voting to remain in the UK. NI have voted that way twice.

    @Ford Prefect There has yet to be a border poll in Northern Ireland, and one of the major driving factors in the Scottish Indyref was the concern that Scotland woyuld not be able to stay in the EU in its own right if it voted Yes. Now that Scotland is being dragged out of the EU by English votes, there is a steady turning of the tide in all polls indicating a desire for Independence to be on the rise.
