Boris Johnson fighting for his political life - as Sue Gray report released

“I get it and I will fix it” - a contrite Boris Johnson told the Commons today after Sue Gray's initial report into Downing Street's lockdown parties singled out "failures of leadership and judgment", with 12 events across Government now under investigation by the police. (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
Labour's Sir Keir Starmer called the prime minister a "man without shame" - insisting he should "do the decent thing and resign". Mr Johnson himself has been addressing Tory MPs tonight - some have already called his leadership into question.

im not keen on starmer for 2 things; 1 breaking the 10 unifying pledges that got him voted as leader -feels like betrayal cos i voted for him to BE a unifyer. 2 for being a part of the trilateral commission. i favour corbyn, but even among 'true' Corbynistas, this smear re saville is given credence. I think raymer would make a better labour leader myself out of the current opposition, she's strong, funny and has more character than starmer. but i am NOT going to go around sabotaging starmer's chances like some do. i dont get to vote for a labour candidate (libs come closest in this tory safe seat) and ive let my labour membership slide

They cease to be newsworthy, you completely out-general the media in that way, and they despair. You shell them, you pepper the media... you've got to pepper their positions with so many gaffes that they're confused. It's like a helicopter throwing out chaff, and then you steal on quietly and drop your depth charges wherever you want to drop them." And his audience cheered him. And citizens voted for him. And he has been stealing on quietly with a smirk on his face. He's still laughing as there are still people defending him and vote for him. Mind-blowing.

Correct. Police misquoted legislation to provoke people to walk or drive away from them regarding paired households and then lied in court.

Sniffing round peoples' backsides while they took a walk in the country. Turning families back in their car when they were off to the beach for the day, not allowing terminally ill patients visitors in hospital, fining a chip shop owner £1,000 for serving just after 10. Arresting a very elderly lady for protesting the draconian and melodramatic lockdowns, arresting people at Speakers' Corner...

The real failure here to have ever believed that Boris had any virtues to speak of, such as competency, honesty, integrity, leadership and honour. Anyone who could be bothered to look up his past or even really listen when he spoke, would have known that he was clearly lacking in those departments. But people love it when those in power reinforce their own distorted reality. He does not get it, and he never will, he is only in it for him, and to be fair how could it have been any other way. He went to a private school, had everything he wanted, nobody ever told him 'no', had jobs in positions of power and influence. He has never actually had a real job like most people, never had to fight for anything, never had to worry about making ends meet, why would he get it, why would he understand what its live like us. Actually the same could be said of a lot of people in power right now, mostly conservative I am afraid to say, their policies suggest as much, because wealth does not trickle down, but scandal certainly does. But please do keep him on, history has this annoying tendency of repeating it self.
