Terry Crews would have been a better Roland! He can be serious, slightly funny, and he is muscular but not too muscular. We also need Jim Foronda to voice Claptrap, just like the games!

This trailer is genuinely insulting to anyone that knows even surface level knowledge of the borderlands franchise. They chose genuinely talented actors and actresses (with exceptions), only to drag their careeers through the mud because some hollywood excec thought the franchise was wrong in some way. Id call the writing a joke, but its honestly just sad. The set pieces are mediocre at best. And every single character (not to the actors/actresses fault) has been miscast.

Kevin Hart as Roland. One of the most not serious people playing one of the most serious in the series. plus they didn't cast the Rock as Brick to get that famous counterplay the two are known for. Kate Blanchett looking like some old lady cosplaying as Lilith. Jack Black as Claptrap. Right personality, but they should have masked his voice more. Jamie Lee Curtis as Tannis. Possibly an even wider age gap than Kate playing Lilith appearance wise. Krieg not mentioning his meat bicycle even once, or speaking at all considering his insanity. This movie is gonna go straight to the discount bin on release.

Tina's not nearly as unhinged as she should be, Tanis doesn't feel like a weirdo, the thresher design is almost unrecognizable this movie has exactly 2 things going for it: Claptrap seems to be using taken his Fragtrap persona, Krieg truly feels like a Psycho.

Which one? Borderlands 3 had a completely different voice actor for Claptrap then the second game, they didn't even sound alike. And then there was the the VR version of Borderlands 2 where the tutorial had Claptrap's voice change completely when he explained VR-exclusive features.

Out of all the guns shown, Jamie Lee is packing by far the biggest cannons (about the 1:14 mark).

Honestly I'm going to check this out. However theres something thats just off about it. It looks like they've made some changes from the original game and most of the actors really don't look or act like the characters in the game.

When everything in the trailer actually looks nice, except the cast... and WHERE IS CAGE THE ELEPHANT!

If after watching this trailer, you think they will be doing anything appeasing like that, then you are more optimistic than most.

All of them are fantastic actors. Just not the right actors.

im more mad kreig is in there but not maya. the entire journey for him was him meeting her because before that he was just a regular bandit. it just tells me there are gonna do both crazy kreig and normal kreig at the same time.

This seems like a parody of Borderlands more than a serious film about some of the greatest games of a generation.

Disappointing, at no point did they say the iconic line... "It's bordering time"
