It's definitely Captain Blade's Midnight Star. I can't think of any particular use for this grenade.

Uhh... I would say the stock grenade but that's arguably the best... Rubberized grenades with a long fuse. Just in general.

If you play solo, you can make this work. Use zeros deception, go to were your deception is, throw a singularity granate some fuse on the ground, throw the midnight star and you can do some good damage.

I'm gonna put an honorable mention in for the Kiss of Death. An always homing 3 second fuse grenade that cannot be slag is pretty much the exact OPPOSITE of what you want from a transfusion grenade. Like this things gets out classed by normal blue/purple transfusions 99% of the time in every category.

It's actually kinda good because it sends you so much health and the fuse time is so it can stick and drain the enemies

The Japanese voiceover on Lionel was pretty funny NGL The Fire Bee or the Leech, I mean the Leech has some use but the Fire Bee is world drop only (iirc) and is basically outclasses by even more common ones

QOTD: I give it to the Rolling Thunder or the Kiss of Death. The Midnight Star is meant to be bad, but those 2 were meant to actually be used.

1. I completely forgot that grenade existed. 2. I thought it was so cool too but I literally never used it a single time. The acid burn at least works on more than a single enemy type but that's also a really situational nade

I really like the idea of the Nasty Surprise. Having a legendary that sneakily teleports explosives under your the feet of your enemy isn't something I'd expect in any game, but unfortunately it just doesn't do any damage. Even in normal mode it doesn't kill things...

The Burning Summit from Borderlands 3, I had so much excitement when people figured out how to get it just for it to kill you ever time you use it.

Trolling Thunder, obviously. They thought it was going to be useful, but it just doesn't do enough damage to enemies and you're more likely to die from it.

As someone who never had mac and cheese [I'm from Brazil] I didn't even knew it was a side dish, I always thought it was like spaghetti or something lol

A lot of times it is a main dish, but also with a lot of cuisine it can be a side dish, especially BBQ. Plate of some rump roast and a little Mac and cheese to the side, and the next day you mix it all together to make a new, equally delightful dish.

Rolling thunder. That grenade triggered my Medal of honor Rising sun PTSD with rubber grenade cheats. You literally throw the grenade into a room and run in the other direction. Yet it still finds you.

The midnight Star, you must be insane using that grenade if you love your own grenade tracking you down and downing you and not killing the enemies.

I've really been enjoying these slightly longer vids (13-15min vids instead of 8-10min)!

For how fun it can potentially be, the rolling thunder is a legendary that can easily kill you. Unlike the midnight star where that is its draw back, the rolling thunder just does it

I would say the rolling thunder, called the trolling thunder mostly.because it basically has a higher chance to damage you over the enemies. Now, if I had to say overall, probably hot spring from borderlands 3

Qotd: In terms of killing things/doing damage. Monster trap from the pre sequel. Its a mission item thats only use is to trap eridians at or below 25% health and you would actually be better off using jump damage instead for every other thing in the game.

the worst grenade HAs to be the burning summit, you can use the midnight star somewhat to hurt enemies. but the summit always hits you first.

I love the content so much that i'd watch extended cuts of the individual farms you do in these runs. I.e. 20-30 mins of you doing Snowman farm which would only be like 2 mins in the vid. I get you stream it but just a thought

This was such a fun episode!!

The cash grenade in borderlands 3, is fun early on but drops off fast. It would be hilarious to have a functional build with it so you could literally just blow everyone up for money.

Honestly all of the pre-order items in bl3 suck ass except for the shield but why play the first 12 levels now that we have lvl 13 skip? All of them are just completely useless

QOTD: Midnight Star, I mean you can chuck it across the map and the Mirvs come back to haunt you. Fun Fact: In Tundra Express to the right of Tina's main entrance to the right of the bandit hut there is a whole you can fall through the world in case you didn't know

It’s easily one of the better grenades in the game if you use it correctly, zero farming required and you get it from the very beginning before even seeing an enemy 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@cuppy1199you just gotta give yourself lots of space, once you figure out the range and stuff it becomes a lot easier, a tip I can give is jump backwards and aim sorta at the ground since it curves upwards, should help us not die to it as much

In my opinion the worst is the Whiskey Foxtrot Tango in BL3. It’s not that it’s the worst, just it has no infamy like the morning star so in my first play through of BL3 I ended up downing myself many times because I didn’t know what it did. Also it’s a self down machine

Midnight star, besides having a jokey build on krieg (the sewer slide bomb krieg build, that works only on op0), it has no real usage.

hey joltz i started playing salvador a little bit ago and ive got him to level 76. And once i get to level 80 i plan to do raid bosses. Any tips on what build(s) I should use for them?

I would say the echo series grenades in general from BL3, slightly better damage than stock grenade mod with like a 6 sec fuse....

You can use midnight star. It is predictable, you throw it over enemies to hit them from back. Kiss of death can do crits. What isn't predictable and can't Crit? Rolling Thunder & Baby boomer. PS: Nasty suprise is just bad, because it is weaker than Fastball pre buff

QOTD: as much as much as the Midnight Star is an obvious pick, id say the Rolling Thunder is worse because of the fact that it seems usable to an extent, causing most people to maybe give it a try and end up killing themselves (the same thing ive done)

flying vehicles could work in a similar manner as jak and daxter hover cars that have ground and 3m up hover modes

QOTD: the Burning Summit in bl3. It's annoying to get and puts your in ffyl pretty much every time you throw it

You can use it on Claptrap to keep subroutine stacks with that one skill since you can chuck them infinitely

QOTD: I think the worst grenade is either the emp or the chupa’s organ from bl3. Emp is bad for the current level that you first obtain it cause you can just strip the shield with a few shots instead of wasting a grenade. And chupa’s organ doesn’t heal enough to be viable also a purple transfusion could probably do its job better. Also late game you damage will either kill an enemy in 1 shot or your neigh invincible.

Neither of those are the absolute worst as both have uses. Burning summit just blows you up, nog potion is a gimmick nade with a useless gimmick, midnight star basically only hits you and way way more either useless or actively self harming

The blue thunderbolt from the tina dlc, it barely does any damage and its hard to hit. Ig it does have nade regen tho

Hey joltz, I almost read the BAR screen for a second then, that sure was scary can you flip it around some more tomorrow.

I mean, mac and cheese is probably the perfect food. It has good variety, it tastes amazing, it can have a good crunch if you make it correctly, and it can be good for you if you make some with protein in it. All in all, I could just write a multi-paragraph essay on why it's good

The rolling thunder. It bounces around doing little to no damage and it makes joltz groan everytime he’s trying to farm the torgue vendors and sees one. They are the worst.

any grenade is good, unless it's Homing, (also lobbed when they get stuck in a wall, but they are quite good)

You should do a play through WITH BAR, I’d love to see the difference in gameplay since I’ve seen most of your play throughs already.

I despise that you don't take scorched earth. It single handedly makes turrets do insane damage

QOTD: Kiss of Death. The trolling thunder and midnight start can get actual use, you just have to be extra specific on how you use them. If you use the KoD the enemies will die of boredom before the grenade even goes off

I gotta leave a comment for my best world drop for the question from the other video. I think it was one of if not my first legendary in bl2. I got a fabled tortoise from one of the lockers in southpaw steam and power, but it was when i first started playing the game and thought it was useless so i sold it.

Rolling thunder can at least get a lil use if you're throwing it right, like all rubberized nades its not necessarily worse, just harder to use. Kiss of death on the other hand is next level trash that i dont wanna touch again

QOTD probably just the stock grenade in bl2 you can grenade jump but other than that there's a reason a white grenade mod with terrible stats are better

Why do read only farm for the snowman? Do you not want to get the experience, so that you stay on level? Idk it’s a very quick kill, so I figured you’d farm it regular! Always wondered that! Also, what is read knly farm?? Can you only do it on PC? I know what it is, but not how it works..

Borderlands 1 proximity mine grenades. They just felt so clunky to use and most of the time you will kill the enemies before they even get close enough to set off any you set up.

Only use was to get the Corrosive one for the dot on enemies for the debuff

Trolling thunder and I use to play borderlands pre-sequal with my sibling and we played as Jack and Aurelia and used there skills at the same time and called the combo jack frost maybe you and K6 can do that someday

Kiss of Death. Trolling Thunder can actually deal OK damage assuming you don’t get Troll’d, and at least it’s unique. The Kiss of Death is a 3 second fuse and homing locked transfusion grenade that cannot be slag, which is one of the things regular transfusion grenades excel at. Late game it doesn’t deal relevant damage or give decent healing (especially compared to the Grog Nozzle) and requires a whole side quest to unlock. Just get any slag transfusion instead. At least the Trolling Thunder is kinda funny, and the Midnight Star is supposed to be a troll grenade

Look they will probably do the epic exclusive again on Borderlands 4. I avoided your content during BL3 but when 4 comes out, I am going to listen to it when it comes out. To see if it's worth it when they exclusive it. So I can find out if I'll be disappointed instead of wasting money and disappointed.

Honestly… Nasty Surprise, always so heartbreaking when you get one from Vermi.

the pipe bomb from BL3. its behind a annoying mission and while radiation is good the little splinters it creates dont really hit anything and the puddle it makes is weak.

I did that Turret kill on Hyperius on my Hyperion Allegiance Axton... it was painful... I think it took like 2hrs...

Lionel made me spit out my mac and cheese (yes I was eating mac and cheese whilst watching this at 2am)

not the qotd but random roll and unique vehicle upgrades would go really hard in future borderlands games. epsecially if they add fliable aircraft to it.

QOTD. Proximity mines from BL1. Can't tell you how many 1 life runs I've lost to one of those. An honorable mention is post nerf porcelain pipebomb from BL3

I'd say that there are a lot of bad grenades, I'd probably have to go for The Snowball, a much weaker version of the fastball.

QOTD: most of the answers will be midnight star, rolling thunder, echo 2. But my pick is all non utily grenades. In late game everything other than the fastball is usually meh unless it's a utily based grenade: tesla destroying projectiles, the pee nade ect

@@Borderworlds Yep. I have never seen any player make a good use of a rubberized grenade in any borderlands game.

Worst grenade has to be the guardian poke balls, they’re only used for two side quests and that’s it.

Does anyone know how to acquire two Slag Orcs in the same manner that Joltz did but on console? That would be a mega help
