Curious, why was the young woman acquitted? She had the drugs, even if she said it wasn’t her bag she was the one caring them. She was the mule.

I think sometimes there is a deal with a tradeoff of information... and also unfortunate extenuating circumstances like she was forced to do this. 😔

I kinda don't know if you should say mule. Supposed victims traffic drugs by ingesting them in protective packaging. Sometimes they might die. It seems disrespectful to legitimate victims to call mere drug traffickers mules because being a trafficker would appear to be much less coercive than being a mule. Having an awareness of potential lethality, accurate terminology, and fact based opinions could quell hysteria and manipulation in a war like long term battle that costs taxpayers billions.

Maybe they found the person receiving the goods, or she gave them the names of the people sending them. She might have been pressured in some way. It's impossible to tell from an edited video and a few lines of text.

not an excuse for self-awareness. there should be some misdemeanor level penalty for these offenses. I can't blindly just carry anything anyone gives me.

Those officers need to really gear up properly they're always talking about hazardous stuff hitting their environment, but it seems to me they'll be the ones spreading it. I've seen them several times touching stuff without gloves, which is gross!! Also, sterilize the area, counter tops, tools, etc.🤦

Much of what you are seeing is a reenactment. I worked in law enforcement and Airport Police and can verify the Customs and Border Force are properly doing their job.

This happened to me once, this pressure interrogation thing, at the welfare office around 1996. I was pregnant and after the dad repeatedly threatened to kill me and the battered women counselor said iy was totally possible bc he owned a gun he carried everywhere I decided not to tell the welfare people who my baby's dad was. And they dogged me in the welfare office and said they wouldn't give me benefits. They were really aggressive! I went to legal aid and filled out an affidavit but they said it didn't count but they didn't actually take my benefits although they kept acting like they would. I went tight back to work after the baby was born. It was pretty bad. It's not border security okay but what if I'd been a witness something important? Because get this it turned out like ten years later or so that the homicidal ex was connected although I hadn't known to international terrorism anf I reported what I heard but just imagine some psycho welfare worker who thinks she can intimidate me! So in short sometimes tiny threats are threats that are actually big. I hope she gets in lots of trouble.

If they have specific visa conditions, why do they take hours to reach a decision, and they have to give condescending and judgmental looks. This is so inefficient. Bureaucracy justifying their work.
