Border Line 4WD Route | 400 Kilometres Off-road Chasing The Kootenay River
Connecting Canada and the United States is the 5500 mile long border cut line known as "The Slash" and there just so happens to be a 4WD route to explore along this line. On the way north, we follow the Kootenay River on pavement and dirt in hopes of finding its headwaters. This is one EPIC adventure!

Traveled west of Kelowna up the Connector before it was, followed new and old logging roads, and ended up in Kamloops, which was made into 4 day trip, found a beautiful lake for fishing and spent 2 days there, vehicles were a 69 Blazer the guy who owned the Blazer was from Creston many trips there and my 75 Chevy 1/2 ton 6cyl 3 speed on the tree 2 wheel drive, needed a couple of pulls and I had all the supplies, great times with friends and some have passed away 😢, this trip took place in 1983,safe travels and adventures
Hallo Johannes, I'm myself a Troopydriver over 30 years, and I like your videos very much. Greetings to the Toyota team from my 78 TLC in Germany.

We visited Germany this past summer! Beautiful country 😁 We didn't see many Land Cruisers there! Are they common in Germany?

@@allterraintrails There are not so much TLC like in Australia. But the most owners of them aren 't at home. They are overlanding the world. You have a 75 I think, is it from Australia because the steering wheel is righthand. A good idea is to insulate the windowpane during cold nights with special mats from Blistex. They fit perfectly to all Troopy windowpane. Have a look at google.
And to think I live here and I have done these things with friends. Reliving memories like this made my day. Thank you.
this is why i love bc
Ah finally!! I've been waiting for this. Lemme get my popcorn and soda! 🙂

Troopy is doing much better than last year! We got a bunch of problems ironed out thankfully!
Cool adventure. I've ridden the US side of that cut line many times in the past. Always horseback since we can't legally access with vehicles. Fun to see from the other side
Nicely captured adventure and journey. Oh, the envy of owning such a capable and cool overland platform. Thanks for sharing. Be safe.

13:15 This part reminds me of a book published called "Falling Off a Cliff" by Eileen Dover 😀Great video BTW and is my kind of adventuring.
Was a super fun couple days!
Great video again, and what a landscape 😊👍🏼 Yeah, troopys are rare in Germany, as they'd never had been sold here officially, but there are more here than this may suggest😅 Whats that red light on your dashboard showing up very often? Greetz, Björn
why not straddle the ruts?
So the newest taco was the least capable?
Hey mate. Im new to the channel and i gotta ask. How did you get a right hand drive troopy into North America? And what hurdles did you have to go through to get it road legal? Reason i ask is want to do year+ long trip to Canada in the next year or so. Ive got a right hand drive Isuzu Dmax thats set up for touring, that ive owned since new. I wanna know if its worthwhile bringing it over with me rather than leave it behind and buy another vehicle in canada. Cheers. Have subbed as well

If you want to register the vehicle in Canada after you import it, it will need to be at least 15 years old and be able to pass an out of province inspection. If you won’t be registering it here, do a Google search for temporary vehicle import to Canada 👍🏼
I live in Southern Alberta I’d love to follow this track with my Adventure bike. Do you have the gps file you’d be willing to share? BTW awesome video

You may like the app FOG OF WORLD. Clears the map with your paths driven
none of these roads need 4wd.
Nothing personal, the Tacoma’s are not real 4x4s , the Wranglers are
