Will these work with normal Disaronno?

It might come out just fine with regular Disaronno. If you don’t have Disaronno Velvet also you can try making these with any other cream liqueur

Does the amount of times vodka is distilled really matter all that much? Like is there a point where it’s distilled enough and any further doesn’t change the taste all that much?

There’s an inside joke with some friends of mine about vodka. But the real answer to your question, the more distillation, the more neutral the product is. At the end of the day that’s a marketing strategy for many companies. In general, your average consumers thinks that the higher the number on anything, the better the product is... Marketing.

@Liquid Memoir that’s what I thought lol! There’s an old npr piece done about grey goose vodka about how people can’t tell the difference between that and like the crap gas station vodka. But in all seriousness wouldn’t making the product more neutral kill the taste of it , making it super flat? I guess it’d be good for mixed drinks or cocktails but there’d be no identity to its flavor, just rubbing alcohol lol
