Even if they thought girls only wanted "pretty", human-y characters, they could have given the dolls themes like "I'm the ice powered one, I have blue skin and armor!" "I have butterfly wings that attach on my back and I love nature." She-Ra figures had themes like that so it's odd they didn't follow through.

Well, the "Galaxy" lines in general don't really go into the more superhero-like aspects of MotU, it is more like regular Conan style sword and sorcery in a planet that has animal people.

I find these figures way more appealing than the Galaxy Warriors for some reason. Added detail, articulation and cloth capes as well as the slightly more human proportions really does something for me. Shame we didn't get any weird characters like a witch, harpy or succubus. Plenty of female fantasy creatures.

You'd think that there would at least be variation for the villains. But apparently a lot of toy executives believe that girls won't buy toys of villains, which probably explains why the villain characters that they do release tend to be pretty human ones that don't look as weird or inherently villainous.

I like how they have character bios. And the concept of having to fight your brainwashed friend is pretty interesting, would create some good conflict. The toys look pretty nice, but like you say, it's a shame they didn't have more variety. Up until Monster High, I guess nobody thought that girls would play with dolls that looked too "weird". You'd think they'd at least consider some variation for the villains, but a lot of toy executives believe that girls won't play with villain character toys so I guess that's why they avoid designs that aren't pretty humans.

Just when you think you're out of the Galaxy Hole, Phelous returns to drag you right back in.

Wow, Galaxy Adventure Girl actually has character bios and defined factions?! Now I'm sad there's no official bios (as far as we know) for the Galaxy Warriors.

It is also incredibly similar to a line called, Golden Girl and the Guardians of the Gemstones. Which actually came out before She-Ra 😍

If I was any skilled at drawing, I’d do it myself. I’ve already got some ideas for what I’d make them.

So before the MCU and DCCU, Galaxy Warriors was already having their first female hero in their confusing as hell universe.

Wow, $45 for a vintage bootleg! To be fair, the figures are pretty decent, considering the time they were made. Being in their box/containers make them look cheaper quality than they actually are.

The Galaxy Hole officially has more female characters than Dragon Ball Fighterz.

Wonder if the Galaxy Adventure Girl horses were more Breyer bootlegs.

I legitimately like Supra! I think she nails the generic warrior/knight look! I know it sounds weird to compliment a character for being generic, but I think there is an art to making a good generic character design.

I’d appreciate if they had more muscles but I understand that its purely based on that design policy that women NEED to look slim always and forever. I also agree that some of them should have been non-human. A badass snake lady would be cool.

Hey Phelous, can you see if there's a Goodtimes Noah's Ark movie? I remember being a kid and seeing a Noah's Ark movie on VHS all the time, and also a Christmas movie. Both had the same intro with a book and the company logo and stuff. When you did your review on An angel for Christmas, nostalgia hit me like a truck and I realized that was the movie I saw long ago. Then I remembered the Noah's Ark one. I searched on KZread, but nothing. All I remember is this: There were two koalas, one of them rescued a beaver from drowning (apparently Goodtimes or whoever made this flick forgot beavers can swim) and there was an annoying yak? There was also an evil pink giraffe (what?), an evil Cape buffalo and an evil vulture, or so I remember. Then the koalas met Noah, who explained why he was building the ark. Then the beaver helps him build the ark. I barely remember ANYTHING of the plot, except that the evil animals kidnapped one of the koalas and they apparently wanted to prevent the ark from being built, I really don't know why. The ark is built, all the animals get on board, including Noah, the koalas, the beaver, the yak? and some snails, who spent nearly the whole movie coming to the ark, as the evil giraffe, buffalo and vulture get left behind and obviously die off-screen. I remember it ended with the yak thing finding a boyfriend who doesn't like her, and everyone got off the Ark. I, I couldn't be able to make this up even if I tried, this was buried in my head all these years. Could you please search for this movie, and if it exists, make a video about it? I really wonder if it's real or if it's just a fever dream.

@@gwendolynstata3775 It's sadly real. After writing this, I went to search for it again. It's apparently called "Noah's magic Ark" and the whole movie is on KZread... in French. I don't know where an English dub exists. The dub I watched when I was a kid on VHS was in Latin Spanish (I'm from Puerto Rico). I watched the whole thing despite not understanding anything... and I now can't believe I liked this as a kid. Oh and the evil animals were led by an evil crocodile and his rat sidekick. I can't believe this.

I'm kinda impressed on the details of these and that they bothered to give bare-bones bios and alignments for these.

Oh my god, I have to let it sink in and reevaluate how deep this hole is. Feels like every rando that came across got into making a new toyline for Phelous to obsess over.

Stare long enough into the Galaxy Hole, Phelous, and you'll find... ... Negative Phelous... Phelous Beyond the Look Glass.

I've lost count, how many trillions of figures are there crammed in the Galaxy Hole(tm) lol.

You know, I think I could watch a mini series of you just goofing around with these figures. You manage to have more voices in your repatoir than either of the EastWest Dubs guys.

If I'd had these figures as a kid, i think I would have had a breakdown trying to figure out how to pronounce Yfele.

Balius and Xaufus probably meant to be named after Balis and Xanthus, horses of Achilles (from Iliad).

Did you know that we named a river after Werra in germany? Yeah, that girl is quite famous! (well, maybe its name derrives from something else, but its interesting that its written same way. Guess the figure designers just went creative on the name Vera)

I have a feeling Frank Frazetta might have a problem with some of the Galaxy Warriors character designs. I'd like to write a story for the Galaxy Warriors, incorporating all the variants in the various releases.

@@AWW8472 I recently read a comment on an older Bootleg Zones saying Frank Frazetta is dead. I hope I can get all the Galaxy Warriors characters and specific Galaxy Warriors ones someday. Maybe even one Galaxy Hero, just one 'cause the whole line sucks ass anyway. Phelan is clearly a stoner, but marijuana finally became legal in Ohio recently even if it's just for medicinal purposes.
