The one thing that stops me from moving to the new Outlook is the inability to drag attachments directly from the email to another location. I often need to drag/drop from email to a specific explorer location that I have open, or drag/drop direct to a website for upload.

Yep. This and I like the calendar pane on the right but new outlook makes it look like its 'stuck-on' top. I want it pinned.

Have they fixed the Save As function in the new outlook?

Cannot add a shared mailboxe's Inbox folder into Favorites...

Most important info for us - where are the shared mailboxes?!

They are in the „shared with me“ folder inside of your account. A absolute no go and not useful for daily work. New outlook on Mac is different in this topic and way better done…

Great presentation. Had trouble navigating new outlook but after this, cleared up quite a lot of issues.

Why i should let Microsoft save all my emails in there cloud? Who tell me its save and nobody have access to it beside of me?

Do you know how to change the subject line of an existing email? Classic outlook you just double click, change subject line, save. New outlook I am unable to figure out how to do this.

I can't find the share to One Note or the Teams. How does one get to that?

Just tried sorting by clicking the senders name and does not work at all. It’s a nightmare to work on new outlook

The new Outlook interface seems acceptable, but it presents significant issues: 1. All attachments open as previews or redirect to the web browser from the desktop application, bypassing desktop PDF viewers or other programs. 2. Clicking on the sender's email to select an attachment redirects you to the browser, opening a new tab where no actions can be performed. 3. If the attachment is a Word document, it redirects to Word Online, which is highly inefficient. For instance, the 'Wrap Text' option doesn't function properly. Clicking on an image and selecting 'Behind Text' doesn't work, nor does the 'In Front of Text' command. Additionally, pasting a text box doesn't allow for any movement, and the wrap function is inoperable. Assistance with making these features work in Word Online would be appreciated.

I hate the Focused and Other features manipulating my email. My inbox would tell me I have new email and always have to look at which dames filter it is under. The old way it would be simple. At the top and very first thing that u look at - done and simple !

This version of outlook is full of crap decisions. If MS doesn't figured out how to reintegrate the dozens and dozens of features they have left out from Outlook Classic, there is going to be a full scale Exodus from this program when it is the only choice. My daily workflow is probably 500% slower when I try to do it in "new" outlook. This might be the best example ever of form over function. New Outlook is terrible on the desktop.

Hey Ken thanks for the comment! What are a few examples of the new outlook slowing down your workflow?

The new client is complete junk. Not really anything more than Gmail in scope with a few (also pretty undeveloped at this point) AI glitter. And as a general purpose email client outside of the 365 space (since it replaces Mail too) it’s also missing quite a few feature that even that basic (and ignored by MS for years)client had. Wonder when they’ll give up on this POS too.

Right click functions including copy and paste are all missing. What the hell. I literally cannot do my job.

Its yet another unfinished early alpha release. such app breaking bugs and missing features. shame on them developers

It’s awful. Sluggish, lacking features, and my employees can’t easily access plugins like KnowBe4’s. This change is to benefit Microsoft, not users.

Haven't watched the video yet but I guess this is all about how bad the new Outlook app is? Nothing but trouble for us

Many of these features don't work for IMAP/POP accounts. No categories, no To Do integration, no undo...

Mac Mail for Windows! Enough simplifying for non-Outook users. A PC is just a life support system for Outlook. Outlook is mission critical for most users, in a way it runs much of Earth. MS should not mess with it and force a billion+ users to retrain to a less functional program. Been using Outlook for decades, this New Outlook seems to have been designed by Gen-X&Y nuffies with limited or no consideration for current users, globally. IMHO it is the worst iteration of an email client since the MS Mail app. Also, like most recent updates from MS, it is ALPHA, and shouldn't have been released to public simply to save on MS Alpha & Beta testing costs. 🤮

hey no sponsorship here, this is my honest opinion about the new version. I know many out there are not a fan and cite a ton of lacking features (very present in the comments as well) but for me personally, it works well and I have not had any major problems or frustrations using it for over 6 months now.

@@t-minus365 i feel you should consider doing a follow up video on the product gaps. I have seen every single user who tried it or reported issues be asked to go back older version. Have you not been using the old Outlook or support users who do use it? This version of the product is more window mail and not outlook.
