A thousand thank-you for the review !!! I just received my Soundblaster G3 : AMAZING !!!! I have to tell you and everyone else, getting a DAC makes a HUGE world of difference !! It only cost $65 CAD I first connected it to the Laptop and made lots of setting changes and the sound was incredible. I then connected it to my PS5,did the firmware update, turned up the volume, the mic was on mute, of course, I turned the mic on and changed the level in COD. What a difference, I have a pair of Sennheiser Gsp 302 + Soundblaster G3 DAC, what a great combination. The best money I have spent on Amazon. Your right about turning the volume up to 9. The difference is incredible, better than going from a 42" to a 75" 4K TV. Sound stage, separation detail, all customized to my ears. I love it I wished I would have bought this a long time ago. Thank you for a great review!!

was it louder with G3 than dualsense?

Hi there, great video. The “forever” scrolling on the volume is due to it being dual purpose. If you bottomed it out on the mic and switched over to the volume, you wont be bottomed out on volume and so need to scroll more which you couldn’t if bottomed.

Good call on that EQ boost tip, I'm on a PC so I can change settings without a hassle but it's nice pumping up the sounds at quick press. Got a sub out of me for that 👍

hi there. thanks for the review. i'm planning to buy this for the sidetone feature (ability to hear your own voice, or mic monitoring) on PS4. @@pilarlacruz208 it had enough power but the software didn't work and after using their drivers it messed up my pc. had sound stopping and starting and games were freezing. I would recommend it on PS4 but not pc. Check the soundblaster reddit and u will see a lot of people having problems with their products. This is just my experience with the product

Do the G3's controls override in-line audio box controls that come with some headsets? I got the G3 for my Hyper X Cloud X which has a non detachable 4 pole audio cable with in-line volume control. Basically what I'm asking is will the volume of the two interfere with each other or will in-line volume control be rendered useless? I prefer if it was the latter since the volume control on my headset sucks.

Does the voice morph/voice changer works on PS4 after adjusting the settings on the sound blaster command app on a Mac computer?

G3 and beryodynamics mx300 ... OR steelseries gamedac and arctis pro? How does the G3 compare to the steelseries Gamedac on it's own? (All for ps4 use)

I have the cloud 1 hyper x and bought yesterday a G3 for my pc. Its weird to me, the sounds it generates compared to my previous onboard realtek. (what made for me much balanced audio quality). I mean there is no bass at all, now I'm still trying to calibrate but with no luck. It just feels like "castrated" sound to me. Are you using any extra options, cuz I didnt notice much differences between sfx modes or eq modes?

What is better between G3 and GSX300? (In my country both are 60$ ) I'm currently using the Cloud Alpha . I play valorant/csgo.

does it have sidetone? :D looking for a budget gaming dac with sidetone.. I usually play codm at night and need to regulate my talking volume when the family is sleeping haha

ok so my logitech g933's broke and im in the market for a new headset and im torn between getting the g3 and a modmic with headphones or getting the turtle beach elite pro 2+superamp (found @ $129.00) im on ps4pro and all about competitive shooters so footsteps and positional awareness is key but upon research im seeing that with the G3 the sound profiles you can adjust on pc do not transfer over to the ps4 and is getting bad reviews for "misleading" is that true? what would your opinion be which way would you go?

Would you recommend this DAC for music (and some gaming but mostly music) or should i buy something else? Thanks!

Is this better than DSS version 1? Cuz I know there are 2 DSS versions, DSS first gen and DSS2. I ordered the first gen DSS for $10, mainly cuz I want to hear foot steps on fps games better. Is this creative G3 better than the first gen DSS or the second gen DSS2?

This thing ill cancel the Radio interference? I mean the DAC from logitech headset g432 have that ( the dac doesn't have a mic jack ,only audio) so if i cranck up the volume i have these interference if im dead silent without listening to nothing...if i don't use the dac i can't use logitec g hub wich is something like the softarre from sound blaster in the video ..which is handy and can activate a way better virtaul surround instead of using windows one.

@The Techne I just use the Syba Sonic AMP for my PC37X's and for $40, it's a pretty good AMP and I think it would make a great video since there haven't been too many detailed reviews on it

@@QYoNZ Short answer: not a BIG difference for $40, but definitely still worth it and great for gaming. If you want to know more, read the following: With the Syba Sonic being $40, the difference isn't BIG, but it is definitely noticeable. Quick disclaimer, I usually always have my amp dial at 50% and my headset volume at 50%, I normally only use the bass mode, and I am no expert and can only tell you things based off my experience. So, for an example, I'll be playing something like Just Cause 4 and I'll be switching modes while shooting a gun and I can definitely tell the difference. On direct mode the audio is, well, direct. It doesn't seem to be tuned in any certain way and it is just pure direct audio, but it does seem a little muffled to me compared to the other modes. It is still better that motherboard driver audio though. On treble mode the audio seems higher pitched, as you would expect. The audio sounds louder and a bit snappier. Not much else to say about it at least from my experience. On bass mode, which is my favorite, the bass is slightly boosted. For me it seems like the perfect amount. It isn't too low to where you don't notice it, but it isn't high so that it doesn't drown out the rest of the audio. You can feel and hear the light rumble as gunshots and explosions go off. Bass mode really helps with the immersion. And also with music there is a light rumble you can feel and hear when listening. In summary, for $40 the difference isn't HUGE, but there is definitely a difference nonetheless and it is still worth it and better than motherboard driver audio. If you want to know even more then I recommend a review/comparison of the Syba Sonic to other amps/dacs by Z Reviews. The review of the Syba Sonic "starts" at 5 1/2 minutes. Is it possible to plug an optical splitter (1in2) in the ps4 pro, to run the g3 and an AV Receiver ? So i just have to change the output in the ps4 settings if i wanna listen music on the AV Receiver.

Does it has crosstalk issue? If you're in discord you open a youtube video even with your mic is muted, your discord pals can hear what you're watching?

Just got this and am let down. It works well enough on PC with mu X2HR and DT 770 pro, but the volume is lacking when connected yo PS4, which is unfortunate considering it's specifically marketed for consoles. It doesnt get loud enough for me on PS4 . I have volume maxed out in software app amd on device, makes no difference. Hoping the G6 is better.

Does this work on the quest 2 or let's say an android phone/tablet?

Does it give the mic input a bump in voltage?

It would be nice to know if an adapter for say, USB-C to 3.5mm is available? I would think for console users it's more practical to assume that most people are plugging into their controller, not the console itself.

Purchased this for Speaker use. 24bit 48hz FLAC usage. 20 years using PC's iv never had this much silly software issues. But my god the Command drivers are janky as hell. The thing works without fail, its just the software. The software, on boot up will just default to 25% volume, sometimes the software will just exit as soon as you open it. When you turn off SBX Profile it will crash/exit. Only when your playing music will it not completely crash/exit when changing both SBX or Equalizer options. All with a new Windows 10 Pro (64bit) install and upto date Command drivers + software. Maybe will try with Headphones and games over Christmas. but have a RealTek for that. Iv had a Sound Blaster Live and Audagy 2 without probs in the past.

is this good enough for the Beyerdynamic 990?

As for just raw loudness, the sensitivity is more important. These will not adequately drive lower sensitivity headphones. For example, hifiman Sundaras.

How do I fix the popping and cracking when used with Logitech pro headset through my PC?

This was featured on randomfrankp’s video of tech under $50 in July and both this video and his don’t mention it as compatible on Xbox... is that just something that was missed out or is there some compatibility issue?

Yeah why is that cord so short, what if your pc is on the floor and you have to plug it in the back of your pc, yeah the headphones cord might be long, but having that Dac cord longer would help too
