Boone and Scenic Valley train ride Boone, Iowa

Who knew Iowa could be so green? Looking much like Virginia, the normally flat plains of Iowa give way to some amazing scenery as we pass through the country side. The locomotive pulling the train is a 1942, EMD, NW2, which has a horn sounding very similar to the one used in the movie "Runaway Train". This railroad does own a rare steam locomotive imported from China. With some luck we should see that locomotive operational in 2021. Filmed in 2018. More information can be found here bsvrr.com/wp/

Would love to live in a railroad town like this one. We could sit on our porch and video trains. The station looks great. Cool

It's a nice little town. Didn't have much time to look around but will be back for sure.
I hope to go back there sometime! Me and my family went for a day a few years ago!
My brother lives Boone Iowa. He took my mom on this train. Hopefully I will get chance to ride this when I go visit him.
That water tower reminds me of'Petticoat Junction"!!😁😊

It was fun, HOWEVER on the way back the train jumped the tracks. We were stranded for 2.5-3 hours and had no food/water. Please come prepared....

Pravděpodobně se nikdy nedostanu ani do České republiky. Naštěstí máme You Tube, která nás vezme na tato místa.
Until you got closer I thought the engine was Music playing from somewhere. You could almost go to sleep to the rail ties clattering.
Definitely wasn't expecting to see the Metra electric car at 2:20!

Which locomotive was pulling the Fraser train was it steam train JS 8419 or was it the diesel
What's the main purpose of the yellow machine at 5:50? The caboose, next to it, is really in sad shape, not better than the one I filmed not long ago. The blueprint of the caboose was very interesting. Nice little red house. That will be very interesting to see the steam locomotive running again. Thanks for sharing the ride, that was awesome.
