Norwich (Norfolk England) used to have many dusty old book shops, (Oh! what times, when the going was good) All but gone!

Well Sir. Well said. Never knew all those things but interesting. You might have a different perspective these days. I love bookstores. Go there with specific in mind; if not available, always ordered and returned to pick up. Coffee, lattes, warm comfortable or cool in the seasons. I do remember University days at the campus library for study, research. The stacks above, higher storied University libraries of old. I loved that too. I never worked at a bookstore or at a library. Perhaps I would have a different perspective. Loved your story here. Now here on social media. I still want to hold the book I read. How strange folks can be and interesting all the while.

Would enjoy it better without the music at the beginning.

What do you think about the observations Orwell has made about people and 2nd hand book stores?

Ah, so mean spirited. Perhaps this story would have been funny when I was younger. No longer entertaining...

It doesn't have to be entertaining, just honest.
