The stabitha lore was almost as shocking as the reveal of the actual steak knife. My condolences about your cousin, it's so nice you have such good things to remember him by. This was really interesting! I don't know how frequently you change things on the shelf but it's always been a great backdrop. Would be interesting to see how it might be different in a few years from now :)

"Bookshelf Tour" reminds me of how much the Universe has missed that Dael has not 'GoPro Narrated' more of her existence.

I have a vague memory of Dael doing a "bookshelf tour" forever ago. Where she talked about like 3 things on the shelf, and for the rest of the video, she talked about her messy shelf philosophy or something. So I'm happy to finally hear about everything else on the bookshelf.

I have always been curious about that mermaid; somehow it just captures the eye. But I never expected it to have such an epic story.

I can't decide which is more adorable: The dragon in its cave, the confession hedgehog, or the knife-mermaid.

That's not a bookshelf, that's an EVERYTHINGshelf!

My relationship with Magic (other than selling it as a game shop owner ages ago) was "whoo, look at this awesome theme, omg my deck sucks" and so on. Your Rubik Completion Solution(tm) is sublime. Mermaids with shivs? Totally can get behind that. Respect for your cousin. The Mythology section of the shelves made my heart swell with joy. Amazing collection, diverse and filled with excellent tomes. Hedgehogs: why can't they share the hedge? The faerie-themed herbalism material could be published. Reminded me of the old Gnome Book, or Froud.

The extended Kingsmill universe (aka Dael's Friends and Family) seem like a wonderfully weird bunch.

LoL. Alright, last comment on this video, I promise. I love that you LOVE (heh) Sprit: Stallion of the Cimmaron. I did animation on two key movies in my life. Spirit: S to C, and 8 Crazy Nights. Very mediocre script, but damn good horse animation. Did you know it was nominated for Best Animated Picture the year before Shrek (which changed 2d animation's trajectory forever)?

I had the exact same plastic maze ball as a kid! Was such a great time taking turns to solve it with my friends. Eventually one of the structural pieces of plastic broke off and while maze remains solvable it became more much harder since that loose piece sometimes ends up interfering with the course. I have never managed to complete it. There was a certain place in the second part where all of us was always failing. Damm, I need to find this toy.

Somewhere, somewhen, I cannot remember which video, at the very end she demonstrated that she can, in fact, juggle; because she did a similar thing of claiming she could in a previous video without showing. But I've seen it! Perhaps an "Oops, all juggling" video is in the future?

Its funny how you're allergic to just rabbits. My younger brother is allergic to guinea pigs and nothing else and our parents owned a pet store so we definitely went through the gauntlet of pets (including hedgehogs). That beastiary artwork in your book looks amazing. If you ever wanted to publish a beastiary book in that style be it mythology or DnD I would probably buy it.

Loved the tour! I admit to sometimes getting lost in the details of the bookshelf on some videos. The "Centaur of Attention" card gavee a good laugh when i first noticed it. Also I am with you on why I have magic cards, it's forst amd foremost for the pretty fantasy art and secondly for fun zero stakes games with friends at the kitchen table.

The Skulduggery Pleasant book had caught my eye several videos ago. I have the first ten books (and the Tanith Low spinoff and collection of short stories) mostly from when my middle school friend introduced me to the series, so I was intrigued on what you thought of it overall.

Your sketchbook at the end gives me ideas. I have a really neat leatherbound empty book, that I never touched because I couldnt figure out what to do with it and I didn't want to ruin it. Guess it's time to start drawing stuff again. Maybe I can find my fossil flashcards and use them in there somehow...

So I have two housemates, and one is banned from playing Articulate with her sister, and the other is obsessed with Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. This video was an utter delight 😂

Love your vids! I've got my grammar nerd on but I think you're right about Articulate rhyming with eight. I think it's the verb. The adjective 'articulate' should rhyme with chocolate. It's one of those weird ways to distinguish between the two... a bit like photograph and photography.

Firefly is a great game if you love shuffling 15 decks of cards (not including expansions, of which I have 2). But also more boardgames need a solo game mode! I try to play as the OG crew on a new adventure!
