It is actually quite good despite some peoples reveiws... There are a few issues with the character names but the last book is really good and ends the series well... I would recommend reading it!

I agree with you on the 5th Wave, it took me so long to read it and when I finished I had to desire to continue on with the second book at the disappointment of my best friend.

I literally always finish a series, even if I'm not enjoying it because I want it to have a chance, but I seriously could barely even get through the first book, so I just finished that one and stopped

YASS preach cuz the 5th wave series was not pulling on my heart strings enough and the action wasn't as enthralling especially in the Infinite Sea

I don't think I'm going to continue the Shades of Magic series. I read A Darker Shade of Magic and although I thought it was interesting and creative, I just didn't connect to the characters. I'd set the book down and never feel like picking it up. Nothing kept me coming back, like I didn't really care what the outcome would be because I didn't feel for the characters. Although I did like Rhy because his personality was humorous. His character was the only one I was interested in knowing more about.

😱😱😱. No. 😭 I love the Magnus Chase series. Like someone said already, even more than PJO. But then again I'm the opposite. I cant really get into the Apollo books. Although I read the first one and after a while I really liked it, I started reading the second one and it took me so long to get through the first few pages but I haven't read more than that. I'll try again when I'm in the mood. Cuz sometimes that has a lot to do with it.

You know what? i did the same with the fifth wave but then recently i wanted to read something with aliens and a bit of adventure and i just flew through the whole serie and I LOVED IT. don't gove up, give it a try 💪🏻💪🏻

I'm not sure I'll be reading the Last Star or not so I feel ya with the 5th wave!

SAME! It took me forever to read The 5th Wave, and I did kinda enjoy it at the end, but I haven't finished the series either.

I read Rebel Belle.... and I liked it! But just not enough to continue the series. It's a good thing that I have like a thousand other series I need to finish... or even start ....

I bought the 5th Wave about 3 years ago and never picked it up until this summer. It was something that I felt I needed to do and felt bad about it sitting on my shelf. I picked it up and finished it in a few hours because I couldn't put it down! I'm not sure I want to purchase the second book however, the ending of the first one was enough for me tbh.

I agree with The 5th Wave, after struggling with the second book< i said is not worth it.For me the most popular at this moment that I will not continue is Throne of Glass (read the first book and my cousin spoiled the last book).

I totally agree with your comment about the 5th wave, it was so hard for me to get through especially the last 100 pages. I also didn't like how the author changed perspective without indicating who's perspective it was. I'd be reading a chapter thinking it was Cassie and it was a completely different person.

I have a special goodreads shelf for all the series I'm not going to finish. Though not every book is one there because I didn't like it. I once stopped after the second book in a seven book series because it had the perfect ending and I couldn't see how the author would manage 5 more books.

One series (or rather, duology) I'm not planning on continuing would be Alex London's Proxy series. I absolutely ADORED Proxy - it's one of my all-time favourite books, and even though the ending of it completely tore my soul to shreds, I recognize that it was completely necessary and a beautifully written ending. It was the best way to show just how much Knox had grown over the course of the book, but since he was my fav character, I actually have zero interest in the sequel.

Series I probably won't finish: Red Queen -- the first book had a lot of tropes and was just kind of meh for me 5th Wave -- all the reasons in the video Dark Artifices -- I've read all of the books in this world hoping to like TMI and TDA as much as TID, but I just can't get into them

I totally agree with the fifth wave books. I read all three within a couple weeks and was confused reading the last two. And it took me about three years after buying the fifth wave to actually get through it.

Half Bad series I really liked (they get better but are also heartbreaking so you’ve saved yourself pain). 5th Wave I’ll actually agree: I’ve read the first two and loved them and I own the third but have little desire to read it

I actually felt the same way about the fifth wave. It was just so long to me and I just couldn't finish when I wanted to. However that's where the similarities end. I did pick up the infinite sea and ended up loving it.

The 5th Wave is one of my favorite books of all time. The second and third book might not be for everyone but I really enjoyed both.
