I highly recommend the Fruits Basket manga if you’re struggling with the show! I read the manga first and I absolutely loved it. You could also switch to the sub instead of the dub because her dub voice is annoying… but i promise you, you would LOVE fruits basket! it is so deep and gets SO sad especially in season 2-3

i actually think her japanese voice is a lot more annoying than the dub bc it's so high pitched but i think the overall original japanese voices are better. i love tohru, she's too precious for this world and makes me sad when people don't seem to like her :(

I’ve been book shopping as a way to make me feel better, help 😅 I’m trying to get back into animes and kdramas,too! I’m in the middle of Yona of the Dawn, because of youuu 🥰

fruits basket is so good! it's not so much a "reverse harem" as they make it seem at first, it's actually a lot deeper than that. it has a lot of comedy but it gets really heavy on the drama. the first season is more light hearted and slice of life, it's more about introducing the large cast of characters and their backstories so i hope you give it another chance but of course don't force it if it's not your style!! :) idk if you're watching it subbed or dubbed, her japanese voice is very high pitched and i can see it being annoying, i personally prefer her dub voice however i think overall the show is a lot better subbed but maybe try to switch to sub or dub and see if it works better for you! if not, try out the manga. i personally couldn't get into it bc it's a very old manga the art style is also very old school and simple, but a lot of people love it!

One of the reasons why I loved House of Hades so much when I read it was because of all of the Percabeth moments in it. 😂 But now that I think about it years later after I read the series, I definitely agree with you that Mark of Athena is just better in a lot of ways haha! 💗

for fruits basket, i get you! I started a couple of months ago, and watched about 6 eps. For me, I didn’t really like any of the characters, especially the main character who unintentionally acts a bit like a pick me girl.
