Wow! Book folding too! After I finish a couple of crochet gifts I am going to try bookfolding. This was very cute.

Try it with a colourful children's book it looks amazing or a big big road map book.

How much fun and you make it look so easy. As a bookworm it seems an alien concept to fold and or cut a book BUT there are so many unused books out there. If someone gave me one as a gift I would be thrilled. SO many ideas are now flowing (daughter has already started hiding her book collection)

I get mine given to me for free or I buy from charity shops books that have millions of print runs like harry potter etc one or two wont make a dent in it, most books unsold go to the land fill so in a way its saving the planet a bit.

Allison I made your carousel about a year ago & put in my local consignment craft shop...the owner has told me several times how many positive comments she gets about it. I've also made the doll...neither has sold but that's OK, the good feedback is just as upbuilding as a sale. I love all your videos & plan to do more of your inspiring pieces! The teapot & cup are next I think. Thank you for your very well-made tutorials! (P.S. would love to show you pics but not sure I can here)

This is a lovely project. I am going to try to make this. I just made an easy Xmas tree, a little more difficult book angel and now this. I am hoping it turns out lovely enough to give away. If not, I'm going to end up with a lot of unreadable but folded up books. Happy folding.

You can make some pocket money and sell them when you have made you book art projects. Try charity shops for cheap books and ask your family and friends for any unwanted books they might have.

The carousel has become very popular, Looks amazing on a musical moving turntable. Look on Amazon for one. Makes a perfect gift for a baby's nursery.

Your instructions are great and you make it look so easy. I tried this, the book fell apart half way through so had to add more pages from another book and glue them in. I decorated to hide mistakes lol. New to book folding from Scotland x

Try get him to part with books with white pages if you can. The paper is better quality and folds amazingly well. These usually tend to be famous peoples auto biographys and refrence books, dictionarys too.

most books will work (not really old yellow paged books they tend to be too dry and tear a lot.
